Handgun preference change with age?

Seems like there's a lot of us preparing for that dreaded 30th birthday. I don't know that my tastes have changed though. My 1911 is blue because I don't like shiny carry guns. My Ruger GP100 is stainless because it is a fun at the rtange type gun and probably won't be carried. I don't like Glocks, which has more to do with the fact that I don't like double stack magazines or, more accurately, the wide grips that they necessitate, so I never got into the "tactical black wonder-nines". I always figured if I can't do it with 8 rounds of .45, then I can't do it with a handgun. I don't know if this makes me refined, old, or just wierd, maybe all of the above, but proabaly not the former.

I started out believing in the hi-cap DA/SA 9mm. Then moved onto the .45 in the same format. I've had a love/hate relationship with the 1911 for years, but have never been comfortable with their reliability issues. My dept. wouldn't allow them anyway!
I've always been able to shoot a revolver more accurately than any of my DA autos, due to the surprise break and consistency of its trigger. But, I was never happy with the .38 ammo limited to me by dept. mandate. The new DAO autos, have basically answered my needs.
I have "discovered" the BHP recently, and my girlfriend loves it. A Sig P210 would probably be the ultimate aquisition. FWIW, I'm just shy of 35y.o.

Ok, some of you have made me feel normal, some have made me feel old, and a few have made me feel like I'm just a puppy!!

FWIW, I have no problems at all with turning thirty. It beats the stink out of the alternative!
