The thing is that the Fourth Amendment protects us from, among other things, unreasonable search and seizure. The courts have recognized quite a number to exceptions to a warrant requirement.
Whether or not an exception might apply here depends on how applicable court decisions would apply to exactly what happened. And that's well beyond anything we're going to do here.
If the OP really wants to figure out if he has a good basis for complaint, he needs to find his own lawyer and go over things in detail with his lawyer. And, unlike the posts on this board, such a discussion would be confidential.
