S&W I frames. maybe even smaller than an I frame. Something like the size of an H&R Young American with a rimmed version of a 32 ACP.
A contemporary version of the H&R bulldog. The thing was about the size of a J frame Smith, but a 44 cal. Sure, the short little 44 cartridge was ridiculously anemic, but it seems to me that with modern powders and metallurgy you could do better. I'd be happy with a 180 grain 44 JHP at 850 fps out of a J frame sized gun.
A version of the S&W 296 but with the look of a Centennial instead of that ugly humpback thing.
