Guns that you just don't like.

Is there one or two that you just can't stand? Can we start listing them, without any other debate? I'm sure that one or two of my favorites are disagreable to some.

1. I can't stand S&W autos, ever since the Sigma series came out, that is all that they remind me of.

2. I can't stand Smith revolvers with locks, even Ruger has them, as do both of my HK's.

3. I can't stand Super Redhawks, the Redhawk is so much more graceful and more attractive.

4. Charter Arms used to be one of my favorites, but now they look so cheap and cheesy. My friend is trying to sell me a CA Pink Lady, swears that it is red in color not pink.

6. I really like my Kimber, but, can't stand Para Ordnances, since I've had the most trouble from them.

What about you?

Hi-point handguns. Yes, many use them and are reliable, but they are just butt-ugly.

Now I have a Sigma SW9E and love it. It was a police trade-in with night sights. The trigger was also worked up and it quite smooth.

I have owned 3 S&W automatics. Hated every one. 1st wouldn't feed anything but FMJs. 2nd was inaccurate and shut down after 150 rounds. 3rd, the now sacred M&P had a HORRIBLE trigger.

Hi-points. Boat anchors really. I hate the guns and I hate anyone that defends them.

I am with you on the looks of the Redhawk vs Super Redhawk but the Super is easier on the shooter after 50 hot loads.

I want to like the Beretta 92 but I have never shot one with a good trigger.

Anything in .25

These are a few guns that I don't care for. I don't hate them, I just don't prefer them.

Glocks: They don't fit me well and I have to make a conscious effort to not point them low when shooting, due to the grip angle. The shape and girth of the grips are unnecessarily wide for me. They are well made and reliable guns they just don't fit me.

S&W semis: I'd use 'em in a pinch but I've never cared for the grip angle or the triggers on them.

That's it.

Can we start listing them, without any other debate?

I dout it.

My dislikes:
Hi-Point (just can't get over how ugly they are)
Kahr
S&W Sigma
just about any S&W revolver
the new Gen. 4 Glocks
and anything I want but can't afford :D

I would add any Taurus to the list but I can't anymore (I swore I'd never own one but I ended up with a Rossi .357 snubbie lastnight so I can't say that anymore)

I don't like Glocks. I can't give any good reasons, I have one of the first 17's that came to this area. It is reasonably accurate and very reliable, but I just don't like Glocks. I don't like S&W Sigmas, either, of course, since they are a Glock knockoff.

(BTW, that does NOT mean I hate Glock owners; unlike some folks, I can distinguish between disliking an object and hating a person - it is called being an adult instead of a ranting child.)

Hoyt, why don't you like Smith revolvers, PM me if you like, just curious, not wanting to start a debate (read as flame fest).

My don't likes:
Ravens, Jennings, Phoenix-maybe they are OK, () just not for me.
Derringers- cute, just not for me.
Ruger Semi's- too big, and not as cheap as a Hi-Point, which allows me to over look the bigness (and ugliness).
Sporterized ex-military or otherwise older than dirt guns- why? really, WHY???
most importantly,

the 3 I've had pointed at me.

I share your dislike for S&W autos. In fact, I'll one-up you there. I don't really care for ANY S&W handguns, at least with the exception of the X-Frame models. This dislike might be totally uncalled for, but it began with disliking the firing pin mounted on the hammer. Even though they don't put it there anymore, I've never really had the desire to try one.

I dislike any handgun with a lock.

I share your dislike for the Super Redhawk, as well as your like for the Redhawk. I do, however, really like the looks of the Ruger Alaskan, and am looking forward to shooting one someday.

I agree with your assessment of Charter Arms.

I really like both the Kimber and Para Ords.

Even though I've owned one for many years, I've started to dislike Glocks. When I first got it, I thought it was great. However, over the years, and as I shoot more different autos, I've found many I like better. In particular, my old love for the 1911 (from my time in the Army, prior to the Beretta) has rebloomed.

I find nothing to like about any type of Derringer. They're completely worthless.

XDs,
Kimber (any high priced MIM infested 1911 clone, really)
strange green or brown plastic guns (od, earth? bleh)
new sig models
charter arms revo's (not the old bull dog, that one is cool)
new "pink" revos( ...ugh, why dont we make blue ones for boys too, what a flawed stereotyping concept)
taurus semi-autos (most of em)

lol, i don't hate the people that defend hi points...that is a little extreme. i believe they have their niche, i resolutely resist any kind of legislating against them, like saturday night special laws. especially these days many people just can't invest hundreds of hundreds of dollars for a gun and the things ya gotta stuff in the mag to make it useful.

as an ugly mostly reliable last defense defend the homestead piece...they have their place, and at their price point, they stand alone. never shot one, but according to the internet, and some gun rag, they DO actually run, and with fixed barrel 8-10 yard accuracy. in 45, i wouldn't dimiss it. they might get more people into shooting, and thus, interested in gun rights. that is a good thing for all of us.

and the unfortunate opposite side is that at their price point, the thugs and gangsta's are in love with them as well. perhaps it is the unfortunate resemblance to the glock so oft rapped about...

Derringers! my dad bought a .38 from a country gun store we steped out and fired 2 rounds at a power pole from 5 ft, missed both times i took it from him and did the same thing.

+1 jennings J22..

..had one of those what a piece of crap. I think Hi-Point is one of the ugliest gun ever made, but I cant say I don't like them because I just sold one for almost twice what I paid new and I was at close to 2k rounds - went bang every time and fairly accurate as well - you can hate me if you want but that dont change the facts any.

Any handgun with an accesory rail. If your not a LEO or military. You are just begging to be called a MALL NINJA or TACTI-FOOL.
