Gun Control Activists set up a fake Gun Store in NY

Wouldn't it be ironic if they had to use one of those firearms to protect themselves from some drugged up wild eyed armed robber?
I'd bet they wouldn't hesitate to use one if they have ammo available.
Even an unloaded one as a bluff.

It's illegal to sell guns in New York city without extensive licensing.

It's illegal for a customer to handle a firearm in a shop without a purchase permit.

If they want to claim the "guns" were prop guns, that's also a legal problem.

Of course, if anyone pushes the issue, they'll probably be treated the same as David Gregory.

States United is the same organization who tapped rapper (and multiple felon) Snoop Dogg to act as spokesperson for a recent anti-gun campaign.

According to this, the "shop" was opened in the lower east side of Manhattan.

The claim that the guns used in the video were the actual guns used in their respective crimes seems ludicrous.

I'm 95% certain that everyone in that video is a paid actor and the dialog is 100% scripted.

And yet another anti-gun youtube video with the comments disabled!

I'm sure all parties were actors.... I have a relative with a film degree and in the reality tv biz....

He always said... " if you can hear the person on video, then they've been wired for sound. That means the encounter was prearranged and therefore not spontaneous"

I've actually been wired for sound as well. I appeared on camera for a minute. And about an hour of filming for that minute. It takes at least several minutes with the sound guy placing microphones on you and hiding them. A few tests ran and adjustments made to make sure it's all good to go... Walking back and forth to make sure no clothes crinkling and such.

PERFECT! This is like advertising:
"I'm anti-gun, and I will do whatever it takes, including lying and tricking people until they hate guns like I do".

Look at the people they have elected, and the laws they have passed, simply further proof that the people of NYC will buy anything!

Good thing they were only "selling guns", if they had been selling 32oz sodas, the cops would have shut them down!

I have to disagree.
In a studio type setting wiring “the Talent” has several disadvantages & few advantages. There are better ways.
Mics can be seen.
Fabric rustle is a problem.
Wind (directly & indirectly blowing fabric)
Balancing several different mics for the same audio level.
Cabling or needing discreet radio frequencies for every mic.
& so on.

Most movies, tv shows & “reality” sets use “Sound boom operators” because they get good sound with none of those problems.

“Wiring” is better for clandestine sting operations & so on because its way more “discreet” than a big, hairy guy waving a 15’ fiberglass pole with something resembling a dead animal on it just “out of shot”!

Mic design nowadays is good enough that with a small, controlled stage like that you can get very good sound with emplaced mics.

Having said that I have no doubt the "customers" were every bit as genuine & legitimate as everything else in that farce.

Well it is indoors, and sound techniques aside, I'm convinced that they were all actors, I'm sure no one was allowed to walk in off the street.

Oh, and how did the Gun Shop "owner" have lawful possession of an UZI Submachine gun? I do believe it was an unregistered machine gun and not a semi-auto - the bolt did not have a slot in it.

Never mind the state and city laws broken. That should put them is prison for good while. My real question is, if you're selling guns,do you have an FFL? Does that Bushmaster lower have a serial number on it?
Where's the BATFE on this?

I was wondering

If

Anyone bought a weapon there...

I'd kinda be mad at them wasting my time if you couldn't really buy one...

I'm still sure no real customers went in the store
