Good Place to Stash your gun?

The best place to stash your gun is the place that you don't discuss over the internet or with anyone else except family members living with you.

Easy enough to hide and secure. I don't care much for fumbling for keys or remembering combos if it's needed in a hurry. A little pricey, but that's the cost of technology ($300.00).

Mine have finger indents in a hand shape and takes a 4-digit code. I can get it open in less time than it takes to think and I have one next to my bed and one in the living room. First one was $89.00 on eBAY and the other I found at Tuesday Morning while trailing my wife through the store for $45.00 (brand new). They work perfectly.

Most people don't list there address or exact location on here, or give false locations (such as you have. I seriously doubt you live in the middle of Mount St. Helens). What I am getting at is that I don't think you have to worry about giving your hiding place. Nobody from the forum is going to come looking for it. I (as well as many others) have even posted pictures of them without fear of revealing some heavily guarded secret! Now of course I am not going to post a treasure map to my hiding place on my front door. :rolleyes:

~~~ +1 !
+1 on the hidden pistol safe. I have one semi-hidden from view right next to my bed. It cost about $90. I prefer the touchpad to keys only, much quicker to open. Keep in mind that an unsecured gun can be found by anyone, no matter how well it's hidden, including a thief who has broken in when no one's home.
The actual reason I lock all my guns up in a safe isn't to protect the innocent. We have no children, and few visitor's other than close friends and family who obviously won't feel compelled to 'play with' a gun they may find in my home. I lock them up to protect them from theft.
I installed a safe hidden behind a picture in the wall. I used a continuous hinge (piano hinge) to secure the picture to the wall. I forced the top away from the wall just a bit, like it would hang if there was a hook at the top. This way it looks realistic. The safe is a keypad type and is quick access. It works for me.
I got a deep cat litter pan then stacked a shallow pan on top of it... Theres just enuff space to lay my .45 and a couple extra mags...
Food box in the pantry.
Hollowed out book.
On a hook(s) inside closet above door.
Mounted holster under coffee table.
Mounted holster under sofa with a slit in the material for access.
I have a child on the way and I'm now thinking of getting a V-line wall safe to mount inside the master bedroom closet (hidden by clothes).
Thanks Nightsleeper.
You too PBP, coming from a man of your immense talents, that certainly is a compliment.
