355sigfan; Good point about the internal holster. I wouldn't have a problem with that setup. As long as a double-action pistol has a 10lb. or so trigger pull I don't have a problem carrying it "Mexican" style. Best, J. Parker

Second generation G19 wouldn't feed JHP. A trip to Smyrna cured nothing, so I sold it with a warning to the buyer. Other than that I've never experienced a problem with a Glock.

2nd Gen G17-Lost count of the shots, sold it to a friend ($400 with two 17 rounds mags back in the day), and he too has fired more than he can count. Never a single problem.

2nd Gen G19-Wouldn't feed JHP, FMJ no problem. Sold with a caveat to buyer. he never had a problem. Go figure.

3rd Gen G19, awesome, although I fired it very little. I sold it to a fellow TFLer. ;(

3rd Gen G23, Wow! It feeds everything and has the crispest trigger I've ever tried on a Glock. Kick from a .40? Are you kidding?

I've been lucky and I've traveled quite a bit, and I've noticed a major shift from the CZ75 as king of reliability to Glock. There's a reason for this, Glocks are ugly and boxish but they deliver. Case in point, one of my dear friends works as a ranch security consultant in Central America. He's a hands on type of guy, so he has nothing against getting under fence wires and checking out the undercarriage of vehicles, or anything else his work demands. For years he swore by the CZ75 until he got ahold of a G19. His G19 has been to hell and back and it has never failed him. He's carried it in rain, mud, slush, hunting, you name it, it has always gone bang when needed. His G19 saved his life twice. That to me is testament the reliability of Glocks.

Refurberished G17. This last weekend I had my first jam, a fte. This is the only problem in about 750 rounds I have fired through it. I think it may have been the PMP 115gr FMJ ammo I have been using. This stuff is loaded fairly mild. No problems in the shots fired after. This is not the crispist trigger I have felt on a Glock. Everything is stock except for the Houge Handall I added.

G19. I had a newbie in the lane next to me complain that the range rental G19 kept jamming on him. "Hmmm...can I try it?" I put 10rnds into 1 inch at 10 yrds no problems. He must have been limp wristing it. This G19 had the best trigger on a Glock I have felt to date. Range owner thinks it had about 2000 rnds run through it by that time. I would like one for myself but the short grip is not the most comfortable for me and my large hands.

G22. A guy a few lanes down from me let me fire his G22. Comfortable grip, trigger and accuracy was fair, recoil was nothing really different from my G17. No need to add another caliber to the house arsenal...

Waiting to try a G21 or G30. These feel good in my hands but I have yet to fire one at the range.

I went to the range today and shot 5 boxes of ammo(3 Winchester,1 Speer and 1 UMC)thru my new G23 w/Trijicons,not a single malfunction and accuracy was very good.Keep in mind that I have been using my Sig 229 in 40 for some time now so I have to get used to the Glock trigger once again.Anyway,I was shooting at a distance of 7-10yds and keeping the groups to fist size in the center ring with many of the rounds going thru the same hole. The Rangemaster said I was flinching just a little bit and also muscling the trigger,so I should get much better with a little more practice.I let the Rangemaster try it and he put all 10 shots in one ragged hole about the size of a silver dollar about 10 yards away,he told me afterwards that the gun is a keeper,I would have to agree. If I can remember, this new G23 is alot more accurate then my old one which was still a 3rd gen Glock,It's really funny how you can have 2 of the same product and 1 be much better,oh well,at least I'm happy !!

Over the last 6 years I have owned a total of 7 Glocks. Three G23's in the past. Currently a G23C, a G29, a G30, and a G33. Cumulative shot count well past 100k with not stoppage one, other than one dud primer and one squib load. From 115gr .357SIG JHP's to 230gr .45 ball and every weight and speed of .40 and 10mm in between, they have performed absolutely flawlessly. One of the G23's, bone stock, went 8k+ rounds (deliberately) sans cleaning, yet obstinately refused to malfunction. I guess you could say I'm a believer...

10mm: It's not the size of the Dawg in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog!

I have 2 glocks, a 29 and a 33. I haven't had them too long, but like them very well so far, accurate and fun to shoot. The 29 did come with the wrong extractor, but I replaced that with the correct one.
