This post is with Quantum Singularity's idea in mind and since I am a proud Glock owner, I figured what the hell.

I have a G-30 and a G-26 and have never experienced any problems whatsoever. There are about 5,000 through the 26 and 2,000 through the 30.

Even though I love the Glock, I have heard some horror stories.....

Mr. Blonde,
How do you like your G26? I always thought they looked kind of neat but never talked to anyone who owned one and what would be the highest you would pay for one?

Glock 26's go for around $469 up here in PA. Held one and it was just to short f a grip for my liking. On the end of horror stories I owned a G22, it never blew up or anything , but with every session at the range the brass began to bulge more.

A friend just e-mail me a picture of a Glock 30 that blew up. I'm trying to get more info on the incident.

Mike

No horror stories with my G26, or my G19!!!
Just a few hard primers, and dud ammo.

"Glock 26: 17 rounds of concealed carry DEATH comming your way from out of nowhere!!! THAT'S FIREPOWER, BABY!!!"

G-26, G-17 and G-34 owner. Mostly a 1911 man. But there is a place for the little plastic guns. They are accurate, lightweight and easy to clean. Yep, sounds good to me. Plus you have to own one to shoot GSSF.

I bought a G21 back in May, and a G19 in early August. If it tells you anything, I sold my Sig P239 to get the funds for the G19.

"Happy" doesn't really describe things accurately enough. Maybe "overjoyed" or "elated".

I've poured about 1,000 rounds through the G21 since I've had it, and the bullets have gone where I wanted them to go. I use it shooting IDPA matches locally, and have gotten to where I can get off three VERY accurate shots in 2 seconds starting from the holster. The only changes I have made to either of them is to change out the trigger disconnects to the 3.5# ones.

Everyone ought to do themselves a favor and get one!

17 - No problems whatsoever

22 - Ditto

19 - Crummy trigger, polished the triggerbar where it contacts the disconnector, replaced disconnetor with a polished 3.5lbs Alchemy disconnect. Now it has the sweetest Glock trigger I've ever shot.

21 - Brass In Face disease. Cured with new ejector. Now it is sweet.

G19 I bought in late 80's has too many rounds to count with zero problems. G36 has had some teething problems with bad mags and a tight chamber. Rounds that will chamber in my Kimber will not in the Glock.

Own a 19.Very accurate right out the box
(tupperware?).My daily carry pistol.Recommend
it to everyone.

17 - over a thousand rounds with only one malfunction (ironically, caused by attempting to clear an intentional malf. during a drill) and some dud ammo (memo to self: American Eagle doesn't have sealed primers and many not fire if it gets wet).

20 - only a few rounds fired so far but I did have a problem where the trigger didn't reset properly. It was bought used so I may have it checked out.

26 - thousands of rounds fired through mine and my brother-in-law's with no problems.

30 - few hundred rounds fired with no problems.

I have a Glock 26 with approximately 6k rounds through it. In that time it has twice failed to go bang when the trigger was pulled and both times the problem was hard primers on 3D remanufactured ammo (other guns we were shooting at the time experienced the same problem - except the Hi-Power which seems to brutally smash even the hardest primers with no problems).

Good accurate gun, easy to operate and easy to maintain. The most accurate ultra-compact pistol I have. The short grip bothered me so I added the Pearce finger rest extensions to my magazines and was quite happy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family (and I have.)

No problems with my 27 ;)

Heres what I have in Glocks:

Glock 21 (first Glock I bought, this model spoiled me.) Mine has near match grade accuracy, 100 percent reliability after the 200 round break in period (one malfunction before the break in but none after). For a Glock, the trigger is good (around 5 lbs and very crisp). Recoil is very light for a .45. This model has been awesome-- frankly my favorite handgun--no parts breakages and it was worth every penny.

Glock 26 (2nd Glock I bought). 100 percent reliable and durable. No parts breakages. Recoil is very light, it feels more like a .380. Using grip extenders, it has reasonable accuracy for a sub-compact (but it doesn't come close to the G21). Like the G21, this gun is worth every penny.

Glock 17 (3rd Glock I bought) This one is a mild disapointment. Many feeding problems during the breaking in period, and an occasional hookup after (when I use underpowered reloads). The main disapointment is the trigger and accuracy. Because of the sight radius being almost as long as the G21, I expected excellent accuracy. Well, the G17 barely has average accuracy. The trigger sucks too-- it is a mushy 6-7 lbs. Still, I did very well with it at the GSSF match and if I use high quality ammo, it won't jam anymore now that its broken in-- it still jams though with some reloads. I'd have to say this is not one of Glocks best pistols.

Overall assessment: I have shot many Glocks over the years and most (8/10 I shot) are very good.

Used to hate the damn things. Now I have seven of them; 19,20C,21,26,29,30,35(.357). Never a had a problem I didn't cause.

My favorite Glock model? Yes. :D

Have two G19s and a G26. Have had G17,21,22,23,27,30,32,35 since my first in 86.

Have had the most problems with the 17s, followed by the 22s, the least with the 19/23s. Feeding, light strikes, failure to lock open, locking open w rounds still in mag, broken trigger springs, guide rods, bad magazines.

Not as good overall as the many Berettas and SIGs I've had to be honest.

Still like em a lot too! :)

I own a Glock 26, and have shot my buddy's 10mm Glock (dunno model number offhand) and another buddy's Glock 21 and liked the feel of all three guns. All of them are more accurate than I am.

Just about every man who has fired my G26 has complained about the short grip. But I've got girl hands, and I love the baby Glock because of the small grip. It fits my hand perfectly and feels right when I hold it.

Only Glocks I ever had trouble with have been 21s. Had one that wouldn't feed certain hollowpoints, had another that the rear sight fell off of.

I admit, thats a design flaw in all Glocks (polymer sights). They just don't hold up as well as stell sights...
