I don't personally find I shoot the 17 any better than the 19, I can use 17 mags in the 19 reliably, and I can push the 19 into a carry role and have done so on a number of occasions. The 26 I keep when I know I will be doing a lot of bending. Can't give up the skeeball. :D
 
19 and 22 given your choice.
I also only use the +2s on my 26, s there is no size benefit.


If I were in your position I would sell all but the 19 OR, and here is the really good option IMO, sell all but the 17 then use the funds to cut the grip down to either 19 or 26 length.

The front of the grip will be about as tall as the 19 with the extensions, but the rear of the grip will still be shorter (like a 19 cut at an angle). This can make a difference in terms of printing for some folks.
 
I change my vote:

Keep a few of the 17 mags but give it away, also give away the 19 but keep 1 of its mags, the 19 mag to use with the 26, and then get a lone wolf conversion for the 22 and use the 17 mags with it, at that point it would be like only giving away 1 gun. but you would keep the versatility with the different mag lengths on the 26.

The cant of my holster, the height it rides, shape of my body, etc. also effect whether the mag prints. You have a point, and I agreed with you in the past. I did the carry with 10, reload with 12 thing for a bit and that was a big difference. Then I decided it was better to standardize my mags. Right now I just don't seem to be getting any benefit personally.

It's a trade off no doubt.

Keep G22 and G26.

G22 can cover all house defense needs. A .40 to 9 conversion barrel can make it run well with cheaper 9mm ammo [with new mags also]. A G31 barrel can be dropped in and you are not GTG with .357Sig. And a .22lr conversion top end makes the G22 a 4 [major] caliber platform.

G26 holds 10, is easier to conceal than the G19, and will work well for CCW.



There is much to be said about the G17, but it is the same size as the G22 and it is more caliber limiting if you want to add one down the road.

The G19 works great, but it isn't as concealable as a G26.

If you really need to conceal carry, the G26 would be easier. If you don't need to conceal carry, than a full-size is fine.



[If you are able to change the parameters, get the G27 and a .40 to 9 conversion barrel for this one also.]
 
I think a G20 with a 357 Sig aftermarket barrel, plus the necessary reloading equipment is an interesting concept!

If we are going to go into interesting concepts that are far away from the OP question [and they ARE fun to pursue!], I'd vote for the G21 or G30, in an SF frame [or Gen 4].

I'd go G21SF, with a .45acp to 10mm conversion barrel. I'd then look into other conversion barrels also, with a .22lr AA top end.

Then I'd read up on the other conversions done. I've read interesting reports of people using a G20 barrel in the G21 without it being a conversion barrel.

IF that is true, it stands to reason a G20's 10mm to .40S&W or 10mm to .357Sig conversion barrel may run in the G21 also.

So, Get a G21, have the ability to shoot .45acp, 10mm, .22lr, and possibly .357sig and .40S&W from it, and who knows what else- .460Rowlands? .45Super? .40Super?

Just some options that have NOTHING to do with the OP's question.:D
 
If you have a dedicated use for any of them (carry, home defense, competition) then keep those.

If you just have them to take to the range once in awhile then keep the ones you like shooting the most.
 
I'm not a fan of .40 so I would say out of those either just keep the 19 or keep the 26 for CCW and the 17 for HD. Pretty much along the lines of what everyone else is saying.

Alternatively I would say keep the 19, sell the rest and get a 30S because I love 45 auto.

It is for me. I use the Pearce XL grip for the 26, no added rounds and just 1/4" longer than the regular extension, but it means y third finger can fully grasp the gun
