Anyone want to take bets on how different his welcome is here than it would be over at AR15.com. No offence to you guys that post over there (I do too) but they would have ripped the new guy to pieces. Troll or no troll. Sadly the Testosterone runs a little to thick over there LOL.

Dirty Bertie,
I hope that by being able to possess firearms you are able to feel the security that comes from being responsible for your own safety and liberty. That sense of responsibility and personal security is exactly what liberal/socialists DO NOT want you feel, they'd rather you whimper and plead for more and more government.

Now you can eject the "professional victims" from your political minions, and alienate the "progressives."
Being armed reduces the likelihood of victimization a thousand fold.

Welcome to TFL Dirty Bertie. This is a very informative place to ask gun related questions, tell stories, and talk to other people who share your veiw of the Second Ammendment. Glad to see that members of the gay community have their head in the right direction(that was not meant to be anti-gay, I was refering to their veiw of firearms). Good shooting.

Geeze Louise, is everybody comming out of the closet? I had to go check to see what "TFL" ment again! I got flamed good a week ago for expressing my opinions about ANY group that defends our 2nd amendment rights and how we needed to find the common cause and work together. We have a cause and must reconcile our selves to the fact that some people have beliefs that others find offensive (Klan, Black Panthers, the list goes on). I stated that I didn't care what the person believed as long as he or she believed in our 2nd and knew how to handle a gun. I'm not Will Rogers, but I do know that the human condition is one that gives us the ability to put the hate aside and work on a common cause. Disasters tend to bring out the best of us. Reading the garbage about what is going on these days against gunowners is pretty close to a disaster in my book. I have written the GOA,NRA,JPFO and SAS and asked them to come togeather and come up with a national strategy using each groups talent for a full court press. Arron from JPFO was the ONLY one that had the decency to write back. As a result I joined JPFO first. Anyway, Dirty, do us and yourself a big favor.. get the gay gunowners organized and form a group, when you do let me know, I'll send money and I know most of the guys who have responded tonight will too. One more group for the fight of Liberty is welcome. And you are welcome here as well. P.S. Just ignore ShinToa, he's a crotchety old fart but I'm glad he's one of us. He also has the disturbing habit of dragging some of the scariest topics you ever saw to the surface. He truly shares what he learns. That goes double for you too Coinneach!

Welcome, Bertie. As 4V50Gary said, the Second Amendment applies to everyone.

You will soon find this is THE Board for RKBA. That goes for range of opinions and technical knowledge, thanks to the members and to Rich Lucibella, the proprietor.

welcome DB,

glad to see someone else who realises that RKBA is a big help for minorities of all types.
gay bashing (literaly) used to be quite popular in our fair city. till the gays started fighting back. (good for them)

I gotta admit, when I saw this thread's title and first post, I cringed. Well, maybe not "cringed"... more like whispering to myself "Ohf***Ohf***Ohf***"...

TFLers, you've done me proud. DB, pull up a chair, crack open a Shiner, and relax. You're among friends.

ps: Sumabich, I heard that. ;)

You're gay huh? Well I'm in a pretty good mood myself. Its good for folks ta be happy.
I'm just kiddin'. BTW: best get used to that ifin your gonna hang around. Nobody will pick on ya for being gay, but if you give them and opening for a joke, somebody will jump on it.
For all I care you can be purple with yellow polka-dots. You're welcome to stay as long as yer not a Glock lover.

(Oh crap! I just know I'm gonna catch hell for that Glock crack. Now where'd I put my Nomex?)

I am a little skeptical about DB's post.
No offense, I just have no frame of reference.
If in fact, it is genuine, please add me to the list of well wishers. I have often thought about the news stories concerning gay-bashing, and have wondered why some of these folks have not defended themselves with a firearm.
I agree, the 2nd and the right to reasonably protect yourself is a right for all law abiding citizens.
Welcome!!!

And if you hear from my Louise, won't you tell her I love her so?

A few years ago I worked as security ("bouncer") at a nightclub in Boston and one of the djs who was as gay as Jim J. Bullock showed me his Massachusetts CCW. He told me there was no way he was going to be victimized because of his preferences. Good for him and good for DB. By the way, I'm sure most of you know that MA isn't exactly the most gun-friendly state. It really took determination for this guy to get that permit just so he could feel safe and be himself.

Welcome D.B.

When I was in the Navy, stationed in Mayport, Fl, near Jacksonville Beach, we used to send all the "boot camps" into this bar called "The Blue Coral" we told em' that if you went in there, they would sell to under 21, and you would get free drinks to boot. :D

The story was always the same, the bar patrons looked like any other bar crowd, but what gave it away was when the D.J. would play a slow song, he saw everyone cuddle up and get REAL friendly, by then he had been either asked to dance or figured it out for himself.
