G43 - Tough Triggers!

Glock 43 trigger pull

Its interesting you say that.

I bought a "blue label" Glock 42 and the trigger pull was 5.37 pounds however the reviews I read about the Glock 42 usually list a much stiffer trigger pull closer to 7 pounds with Glock claiming its 5.5 lbs.

I've heard the blue label glocks are assembled by a special team or go though an extra test so that might explain it, or it might just be random luck. The source of the "special team" statement above was just a post on the internet claiming to be a glock employee so I can't verify it.

That said, look up if there are any certified Glock Armorers in your area, they can do a trigger job. I had my local armorer do a trigger job that took off almost half a pound and made the trigger much smoother and reliable and all he did was some careful polishing and lube. They can use aftermarket parts if you want a substantially lower pull, but don't forget about the saftey benefit of a heavier trigger. Police and Military have minimum trigger pull requirements because even trained officers and soldiers can get into trouble with a light trigger.

i bought a ghost edge disconnector for my 43 and it did wonders for the trigger pull. It's a lot lighter than stock. I'd recommend it wholeheartedly for either the 42 or 43.

I have several Glocks in 9mm, 10mm and as well as 45. The factory trigger pull on them all is just fine with me. I bought a G43 last week. I haven't put it on a scale, but it is a heavier trigger pull. But I can make it work. Considering the purpose of the gun and how it will be carried I have no plans to change it.

All of my other Glocks have a crisp, but 5-6 lb pull. I can live with 5-6 lbs as long as it is consistent and crisp. I'd estimate the G43 at closer to 7-8 lbs, but once again it is crisp.
