Um, no, I didn't think you needed to contact him, not unless you wanted to continue the rumor string, LOL. I was poking fun at the process of how rumors seem to morph into fact, hence the winky-eye emoticon.
So, he had gotten a "report" that the factory had shut down. I wonder if that report was the same alledged fax memo in Canada. Basically, his information is no more credible than anybody else's, except he has a more notable name and fancy website (a nice one at that) and so he seems so much more credible by association.
Funny thing about the internet and rumors. A rumor started one place can spread worldwide in seconds and then you get distant folks all claiming they heard this _____ (insert event, thing, etc. here) was happening and so it appears credible. After all, how could so many people hear about this if it wasn't true. Simple - forums and emails.
But you nicely debunked it by contacting Remington, cutting the rumor string by going to the source.
The folks to contact would be Epps in Canada as they supposedly had a real memo fax, but why bother? You contacted Remington.
