First Starbucks

As noted above "that was back in March" is no good in the Internet age. Every picture lives forever on the internet. So as our younger generation is discovering, the "innocent" pictures that you think that you share only with your friends, can affect your future forever. Jobs, politics, family, forever. Which is a very long time.

Fair or not, for better or worse, these pictures will be used in the political debate without regard to when they were taken or the changes in the behavior of the individuals pictured. In today's politics, if you make the big oops early in your campaign for an issue or political office, you have to put out more than 5 times the effort you otherwise would have, in order to overcome your self-imposed handicap. And even then you may have to miss a political cycle or two to give people time to forget. If you watch and pay attention to our national politics you can see this in action. Its an ugly process but thats the way it is.

So if you want to advance your cause, it is important to not get your picture taken doing something with a firearm that your political adversaries can use to their advantage. And they will try to use every picture to their advantage. You can have fun, you can beat your chest, or you can win. Pick one, you can't even have two of three in this arena. This is today's reality.

Best of luck,

Wes

Yes, the pictures exist, but they are not new or "Now" as you implied
"Now" is a relative thing on the internet. If someone wants to write an article ridiculing us, they'll use those pictures. It doesn't matter if it's next week or next year--they're not going to take pains to be accurate or fair about it.

I still see pictures from last year's Starbucks shenanigans being used in articles.

Case in point:

IMO your comment implies that OCT is "Now" doing walks at Target after OCT released a statement declaring a change in strategy and no more OC rifles into private businesses.

They even fooled me. What kinds of conclusions can we expect Joe Sixpack to be drawing?
