First Handgun, 2 questions ??

I have no idea what the first handgun was I shot; it was a .22 revolver of some unremembered manufacture. Belonged to a friend's family.

First two handguns I purchased were a Browning Buckmark Plus and a S&W 4013. Pretty sure I bought the Buckmark first. And I still own both.

the cz kool aid is fine indeed

found a new cz 75bd police this past saturday. picked it up along with some magtec hollow points and a box of random ball ammo, cleaning kit, the works.

My Grandad's High Standard HD Military. I still have it today, almost 50 years later and it shoots great!!!

First handgun I ever shot was my mom's cousin's WWII era 1911. I was 11 or so.
First gun I ever owned was a Taurus 83, a total POS. About 4 months later, I found my first Dan Wesson Model 15-2 in a pawn shop and the Taurus went away.

My cousin's Ruger Single Six was the first handgun I ever fired. Some years later I bought my very first handgun, also a Single Six...and yes, I still have it and will NEVER part with it. :)

I actually could not decide the first time, so I bought both.

1. S&W 65 3" w/ factory bobbed hammer.

2. Colt Pre 70 series Commander Lightweight.

I suppose I will be buried with them. Man I love those two handguns.

1st. S&W 686-5 - I still have it and shoot it peridically.
2nd. S&W 617-2 - Sold after 1 year 9 (happy it is sold).
3rd. Ruger MKII 5.5 - Still have. I shoot it almost every weekend.
4th. CZ75B SA - sold after 1 year (happy it is sold).

First I ever fired was my grandfather's Llama 7.65. It was a nice chromed affair with mother of pearl grips. essentially a little blowback 1911.
Tried shooting his baby browning that day too, but a spring was out of place inside it.

I ended up cleaning both of them that afternoon, as they had not been cleaned in 20+ years. no rust or pitting or anyting like that, just a little worn from use.

first one I owned was a remington rand 1911 a1, back in South africa, could never get a license for it. Between a robbery at the store, and a change of ownership, I have no idea of knowing if it was stolen or got put back into the display case.

Now I own an HK45. Thank god for Florida!

First handgun I ever shot?

Mattel "Fanner 50's." A matched set...

HEY! They fired "bullets." :D

Ok, the first powder burning handgun...Some kind of single action 22. I want to say it was a Ruger, but truthfully, I have no idea what kind it was.

First powder burning handgun I ever owned...Smith & Wesson Model 19, 357. I traded it off for something else.

Well, the 1st handgun I shot...........

Was a Ruger .22lr Government Model,semi-automatic, in the USAF.
The 1st Handgun I bought was in 1962. It was a Ruger Standard automatic,
.22lr. I still have it, 48 years later. I have fired countless bricks of cartridges, through it.
The 1st SD handgun I bought was about 1985. It was a Taurus .38 special, model 85 I think. I carried it a few years. It is long gone now though. A dear Brother talked me out of it. I bought another later and sold it too.

First Handgun I ever shot: High Standard .22 Magnum revolver.
First Handgun ever owned: Mac De Armes knock-off of a S&W .38 Chief Special.

No, I don't still have that little revolver - but, I wish I did.

The first Handgun I ever shot was a ruger single six .22 of my dads...he later sold it:mad:

the first handgun I have ever owned, and still do to this day is a helwan 9mm...though it no longer functions due to broken locking block, but that didnt happen til I had put about 5k rounds through it...I know it makes some of you vomit to think of owning one, but I love that pistol and if anyone knows where to get a locking block please PM;)

First Handgun I ever shot: Smith & Wesson Model 10 (1968)
First Handgun ever owned: Colt Python (1978)

My father traded the model 10 for a milk cow.
I sold the Python in 1985 for a down payment on a car.

The cow is long since dead and the car is too. Wish I still had the guns.

First handgun I ever shot was a Smith & Wesson 5906 9mm and the second was a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum. The magnum was so awesome, I loved the power, but that 9mm, fell in love with it right away. With a little luck, someday I might inherit these. :-)

First handgun I ever bought ... a Smith 22A. What a great starter gun!

The first handgun I shot was a cap and ball revolver owned by a Civil War reinactor back in the early 70's, not sure of the make or caliber. The first handgun I owned was a S&W 645 semiauto (.45 ACP) and it's still in my posession some 25 years or so later...

First shot: My dad's Ruger pre-Mark .22lr.

First bought: S&W 29.

Funny enough, there was nothing between the two in my experience.

#1.- Think back, especially you old timers. What was the first handgun you ever shot ?

Or, possibly, another question entirely ;

#2.- What was the first handgun you ever owned ? Do you still own that particular handgun ?

1.
the first hand gun I ever shot was a 22 revolver. I probably shot 10,000 rounds through it before my dad forced me to pass it down to my brother who was a better shot with it.

2. The first hand gun I every owned (as an adult) was my S&W 640 in 357 which I still use as my CCW today. For a long time it was my only hand gun.

The first handgun I ever shot was my mom's Ruger Mark II, .22lr.

The first handgun I ever owned is my Smith and Wesson M&P 40 full size, .40 S&W.
