First acquisition of 2012?

1978-vintage Combat Commander.

for 2012 havent gotten anything yet, in the next month or so i will be buying a new stock for my .308, a harris bipod, a leupold vx3 in 6.5x20-50mm and possibly a timney trigger. as far as guns go, the next on on my list is a savage .17hmr

Of course, now that I've acclimated to it, I've got a total gun crush on a Ruger Birdshead Vaquero in .45 ACP. Every year gets more expensive.

A Daisy 201 BB pistol...

I've just started shooting within the last month, and I'm going to try and get my grandmother to give me another one of my grandfather's old guns (hoping for a .22 so's I can shoot on the cheap).

This was the first:

Marlin 1895m in 450

Beautiful but unfortunately had horrible feeding problems and when I took it in to have it looked at I ended up trading it for a Win 94 XTR in 375 Win. Now I'm in love.

Though I have three longarms in various stages of work and on order across the country, the handgonne was the first I rec'd this year.

The wheelock pistol is the first finished gun I bought -- I have a matching brace of these now.

Dental work and Christmas put me in the hole.

Besides that, I'm waiting for SHOT show 2012, also waiting for Judge Myerscough to rule on Moore v Madigan and possibly overturn Illinois UUW / gun law (carry ban).

And I'm also waiting for some stuff to come out - like Charter Arms CARR in 9mm, Heizer DoubleTap, and possibly a Chiappa in 9mm.

I like stuff in 9mm

If they started making the Glock 25 here though, I'd buy one.

This is my...

...initial buy for 2012. It's been a sort of "grail" gun. I let one slip through my fingers early last year. My LGS had this one. Fortunately, I was ahead of the next three guys who also wanted it.

Nothing too crazy, and kept it cheap. Been wanting a Mosin Nagant and an SKS for a while, so I just went and bought both. The Mosin is a '42 from Iveshk (sp?) and the other is a yugo m59/66, not an a1. Cheap, easy, and hopefully once I clean all the cosmoline out, shooters.
