Favorites:

Savage 116 fsak "weather warrior" 22 inch fluted 'semi compact' barrel, detachable mag, burris mounts and rings, Tasco 3-9 scope.

For sheer range work fun, a springfield 1903 a3 by Remington, I have a sporter stock for it, neat rifle. (Picked it up for $50 if you can beleive that)

Marlin 336 30-30, my first hunting rifle, still fun to shoot.

For varmints of all kinds, a .223 cal mak 90. Flat shooting, never jams, noisy as hell, dirt eating fun to shoot rifle.

Rifle I wish I owned?

Old Mauser or Rigby .375 h&h with 1/4 rib express sights, buffalo horn fore end cap. Maybe a 1895 winchester in .405, or a solid 'working man's double' in .470.

Next rifle I'll likely buy?

Cz 550 magnum in .375 h&h, I'll no doubt add a 1/4 rib and express sights to it.

My favorite rifle in a Savage FL111 chambered in 250 Savage (250/3000). It's light weight, shoulders nicely, has less felt recoil and more power than a 30-30, and most importantly, puts the bullet where I want it to go (shoots 3/8" - 3 shot groups at 100 yards with both Speer 87 gr. TNT and Hornady 117 gr. BTSP bullets and 9 power hunting scope). It ain't the prettiest rifle out there, but I bought it to shoot, not hang on the wall.

Remington 700LTR .308

I got looks when I told people I was taking it to South Africa. The kudu didn't seem to mind though nor do the TN whitetail.

That Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1* is growing on me quick though.
