Favorite Rifle?

Really a tossup right now...

#1) Stolle Panda in a Lee Six stock, with a fluted Shilen barrel and Jewell trigger, Weaver T-36

#2) Savage 12BVSS-S .22-250, with weight added to make 17 pounds, Tasco 8-40x56 30mm scope

It would probably be the one in my hands while I'm afield. But when I'm at home, salivating over my collection, it would probably be the Bushmaster 16" HBar with 6 position stock and ALL the trimmings!

Steyr with double set triggers in 6.5x55mm Swede. Yummy! (I know, I know, it's not the gun it's me--"My name's Kirk and I'm a gun nut." [rest of TFL]: "Hello, Kirk.").

My absolute favorite is the M14 (you know, the one that I built
and like too much to bash around in the woods anymore).

My other absolute favorite (which is still the one I like a lot, but
LOVE to bash around the woods with)......well, that's up in the
air. I feel like I'm cheating on my wife if I toy with the idea of
building a FAL, and I feel a little cheap if I say "AK", and the
AR just don't turn my crank......

Maybe someone out there can make up my mind for me.....

Gotta be the Swede 96. Shoots out to there, light recoil, historic, old (1900 Obie) and accurate to boot. Too bad my eyes aren't as accurate anymore.

Adios Qweeksdraw

favorite rifle? Walther WA-2000

My all time fav. would deinitley be the Walther WA-2000. Event hough Ill never see, shoot, or hold one, is by far my fav. Its just a shame Walther didnt get a chance to put em out on the Sniper Rifle market..........talk about a REAL contender!!!!

Hmmmmm... changes. Love my Sendero .300 WinMag. Love my .35 Whelen Springfield....

Today, I think, is a Springfield day.

:)

I'll only tell you if you promise not to laugh!!!

OK, my favourite is my 1979 Savage Model 340 E series in .22 Hornet.

HEY!! You promised not to laugh!! Now cut it out you guys!!!

My SAR-1. I love my scoped bolt actions and my AR-15, but for sheer rugged dependability and fun, the SAR beats them in my mind. The 10/22 is a VERY close second.

The favorite one that I will own is my grandads benchrest 222 from the early 70's. Its a Rem 700 BDL and has the most beautiful checkering on it. (My dad still has his paws on it)

The Favorite one that I own now is my custom Mauser 98 chambered in 25-06 with a BR stock on it. The sole reason for it's existance is to hit a 5in target at 500 yards (good by my standards!)

Now the dreaming-A switch barrel Blaser 93(?) that has every caliber barrel in the 308 line. 243,260,7mm-08,308 and maybe a few larger or intermediate wildcats.

LMAO, i guess my ole 300 syn/stn weatherby seen alot of good hunts together, although its taking a season off this year.. while on the toys i love the 60s, they are fun to shoot.

My M1A supermatch. Mostly TRW "guts" with a nice stock. It is just fun to sit at the bench and chew up the bullseye with magazine after magazine.....

I put a brooks precision scope mount on it and that really helped my shooting.

Great gun!
