That really is awesome man! You are a lucky guy for sure, and that definitely is a beautiful gun.

I sure agree with that - especially being a lucky guy having the wife I have!!! Not only does she guns for birthdays, anniversaries, and such - she makes sure our social schedule keeps time open for my weekly trip to the shooting range as well as my monthly "old guys" meetings - QBs (old pilots club - wife says I should say "seasoned" instead of old but, most of us have been around a long time ) and "El Paso County Water & Soil Conservation Assn" - we conserve water by not adding too much to our bourbon - ;)

My aim in life is to be as much to her as she is to me!!!

We showed Mastiffs over two decades and he was th biggest - and sweetest we ever had but - short of sixth birthday got canine Lou Gehrig's disease and carrying a 250# dog out for breaks not possible -

We downsized - rescued this little one from local shelter - was an anomyous drop-off at night - and really sick when we got her - found, to our surprise when she recovered we had a 200# dog in a 70# body - at least as smart and quidker than we were. Biggest challenge to convince her she wasn't in charge - I think her previous owners found they were in over their heads - and abused her trying to be in charge. With the electronic collar, we've convinced her (well - 95% of time) we're in charge - a real challenge.

Yep - have to remember to change batteries once in a while too-

All the adverse hype and laws against pit bulls is a shame - I never met a pit bull I didn't like. My first dog was one - she picked me - belonged to a rancher who lived 2 miles out of our tiny town. She walked in every day, followed me around all day, and went home at night. Recognizing reality, he gave her to me. Her way to start the day was to "remind" the first couple of dogs she met that she was still "Alpha" - no damage inflicted - just a reminder. Ideal kid's dog - no one ever suggested his dog could whip mine - she was one of the sweetest dogs I've had until now. This one has the body of a Boxer and the brain and temperament of a Pit bull Terrier - BOXERRIER.

I appreciate others here noting my WW II & Koren "War" service - I'm proud of it - but have to admit, I think I derived more benefit from it than I was able to provide my country - tried, though.

Well you tried. So did I. That is more than what alot of others can say. Not that it makes us better in anyway than everyone else who didnt try. But the sacrafice you were willing to make should not go unnoticed!

P.S how do you guys make that little quote box around quotes you paste???

Yeah - but look at it this way - most generations of teenagers are generally looked down on as nerds and worthless. Our teen age generation was a generation our country told us they needed us to save our country and meant it - what more could you ask. Between WW II and the Korean War ( yep- I re-upped again knowing they couldn't do without me) but, I learned more about being a man in shorter time than I could have any other way. I really am very grateful for those years I spent in service (about nine years total - nearly half active duty and the rest organized reserve).

Look above at the line that starts with"B" - go over to the next to last icon that looks like what comics put words in and click it - then put your quote you have copied between thetwo QUOTE words in brackets.
