Favorite 45

I've only had one 45, an older Sig 220. Not my favorite gun, rather hard to shoot accurately actually. I much preferred a Kimber someone let me shoot at the range.

I have two.....a '97 Kimber Classic Stainless LE, and a Springfield G.I. Mirco Compact. The Springer is the carry gun, while the Kimber is for play. Choosing only one (from the ones I own, wouldn't buy a new Kimber), the Kimber wins easily...............but I didn't have to choose :)

The Springfield Armory XD-45 and the Glock 21SF are my two favorites. I also have a S&W 4506 that is a great gun.
I'm not one for the 1911 style of .45.

I have a 1917 Colt with two cylinders (.45 ACP, .45 LC) which is fun, but the 1911 has to be the gun in whatever iteration you choose. I would like to try the Sig though.

my only .45...........a Colt Combat Elite

My favorite is a S&W Model 625 Performance Center Jerry Miculek followed by a S&W Model 25. Then, I would say several auto loaders I have would be tough to choose as my favorite, e. g., H&K45 Expert SIG P220 stainless, SIG P245, and XD-45 Tactical.

Easy Choice!!!

My G36!!

It's usual spot is in the front pocket of my tactical pants.

It's not tacticool, no lights, lasers, or other hang-on's just a minus connector inside, Trigicon night sights, and rubber Decal Grips on the outside. But it does alright by me!!

Been lurking for a while and decided to my 1st post should be in response to 'Favorite 45'. This is my custom G20/21L. It started as a G21 and 6 years ago I got a custom German steel 6"slide and Jarvis 6" 45acp barrel.

A few months later, after some development extractor testing, I had Kevin at KKM develop a 45-10MM conversion barrel for it.

A couple of years ago I decided to bring it to a USPSA 'Limited' configuration and hardchromed the slide just for the heck of it.

I still shoot mostly 45s from it and I have a great little 230grn Gold Dot load at 1,024fps that is great fun to shoot. The longer barrel allows for slower burning powders to increase the velocities and because it's 4¾ oz heavier, the recoil, even with hot 10mms, is very tame.
