Evil Pawn Shop Guy strikes again,,, Pics are posted now.

I really hate to say it, but that revolver deserves to look like new. I'd have it re-blued by the factory, if possible. It's just a bit too worn in all the wrong places. If you can stand it, you're a more tolerant man than me.

The grips are mother of pearl so I can be a George Patton Louisiana pimp.

Or a tin-horn gambler.

"If you hang out in a 'house of ill repute' you will end up getting..."

(per my father-in-law): "...something you didn't walk in with."

I've always heard about "Customer Loyalty" where a customer keeps coming back for a certain product to the same store, and evidently your EPSG has a sense of Customer Appreciation. A guy like that is a rare find, and like you say, he is deserving of your patronage. And he obviously has some great pistols that you have shown. Enjoy that S&W.

Well, I shot her over the weekend,,,

I shot her over the weekend,,,
And she did just fine as a shooter,,,
25 rounds of FMJ and I still have all of my fingers.

I have decided to name her Libby,,,
It just seems to fit this old gal,,,
And I like the names history.

It is kind of funny though,,,
I went to a small gun show on Sunday,,,
It's a tiny show barely worth the admission price,,,
But I saw two, yes two 3" model 36 revolvers much like Libby.

Both were in better shape but also both were $500.00 Plus,,,
One was $525.00 and the other was $575.00,,,
Nicer pistols but for way more money.

Anyways Libby did just fine at the range,,,
I am considering having her professionally re-blued,,,
But to tell you the truth I don't think I can justify the extra expense.

I'll see how she looks in her new leather,,,
Before I commit spending any more money on her.

I have "Ali Babba's House O' Guns."

Ali Babba's House O' Guns.

That is a great name for a gun shop,,,
The only thing that would make it better would be to change one letter.

Ali Bubba's House of Guns,,,
How kewl would that be.

Aarond...I enjoy your posts and your easy going passion.

As to naming your new paramour, let me suggest Lorena....after the character in Lonesome Dove, and the recipient of Gus' affection.

In any case, yours is a lovely, and lively, girl! Just like Lorena.

Aarond,

Nice looking S&W!

I've got a guy at my lgs that has honed in on my quirky tastes. He's GOOD!

I like the way it looks with those grips and I understand your wanting to give it some nu-blue. Classy looking revolver and a re-finish would put the plastic surgery in all the right places for me. :D

About those grips,,,

I took the grips off and they have a sticker inside,,,
"K-2 Handmade in Israel"

They are definitely Mother of Toilet Seat material,,,
Pretty but definitely not real Mother of Pearl.

I took her out again yesterday and put another 25 rounds downrange,,,
The old gal is as accurate as one can expect,,,
Shooting off of a bench and bag,,,
10 rounds in 8" at 25 yards.

I've definitely decided on Libby as a name,,,
How can you not love a woman whose trade-name was Squirrel Tooth Alice.

I sent an E-mail to S&W asking what a re-blue would cost,,,
It will probably be more than I want to invest in her,,,
But it won't hurt at all to find out the real cost.

I'll start work on her rig this weekend.

Hello rightside and Whirlwind,,,

Hello rightside,,,

Yep, the Evil Pawn Shop is on Perkins road.

Best Pawn & Trading Company
"It's like a gun show every day"

Be sure to ask for the Evil Pawn Shop Guy,,,
It'll give him a good chuckle.

I told him I'm trying to make him world famous.

Hello Whirlwind,,,

Your pistol is in much nicer shape than mine,,,
But you are correct in that they are great shooters.

Too bad you decided on a name. Lulu White was a madam in New Orleans. Would have went with your LA pimp reference.

Beautiful gun btw.

My EPS is tempting me with an H&R Top Break .38!

He's got it for $119. I don't know much about H&R, but I think it's an interesting little piece. It's a .38, and it holds five shots. I really shouldn't buy it, and save my money for a nice little j-frame. But, I intend to buy it next week and gain some revolver love. What do you guys think? Is the gun worth it?

I would make sure it is 38 s&w spl not just 38 s&w. I'm no expert but I think they were only chambered in 38 s&w. That may be had to find ammo for.

Looks like someone beat me to it. :)
