I took my Finnish M39, remanufactured from a 1930s Russian Mosin Nagant 91/30, and a Russian Mosin Nagant 91/30, 1935, to the range. The first photo is of the best group from the M39.
This next photo is the best of the Mosin Nagant 91/30:
Obviously, this is not a highly controlled test. They were shot from sandbags, so human error is involved (with me being the supposed human). The trigger of the M39 was much better than the 91/30 and made it much easier to shoot accurately.
These are just two representatives of their type of rifle, so either one could be an outlier.
Still, it was much, much easier to be accurate with the Finnish version of the Mosin Nagant.
