Embarrassing moment at the gunshop

I was out at my local dealer today doing some research on a gun. As I was there I was recognized by a fellow gun forum member. The bad part is I was in the process of checking out a Glock! Talk about embarrassing. It is things like that which could cause me to loose my "gun snob" card. :o :p :D

Hah! Caught red handed. Which shop was this at? I am stuck east of the mountains and am having withdrawls from fed way discount.

Don't fret over that. I'm not a Glock user myself, but many professionals swear by them. Pretty and shiny doesn't count in the real world... function and reliability are all that matter. You could do worse than being in Glock company... it could have been a Taurus. :D

Could have been caught caressing and stripping a hi-point. Then your indian name would have been changed from playboypenguin to eating crow.

Im not a glock fan myself but it could have been worse. other than your hand getting cut by the slide when u shoot them they are a great reliable weapon. I myself dont like to bleed when i shoot lol.

Hey PBP, What are you doing in that kind of shop? Didnt I see a post where you said My selling/buying binge is finally over: Results inside. Already going through withdrawals?...LOL. Actually, Im just kidding around, I know it was about finally having your collection the way you want it

PBP, I know what you're doing. You're just gauging all the other gun snobs reactions before you break out the thread titled "closet glock lover".
I bet those will be some pretty pics!
:D

Yes.... Yessssssss.....

Hey wait, isn't one of your carry pieces a baby Glock in .357Sig?

I always mocked the Glock - I'm a big fan of steel and wood in my firearms. But I inherited one (G19) and decided to put it through its paces and see if I could be impartial.

I have to say I was very impressed. It was very accurate and had very little felt recoil. I still dont like their aesthetics but overall it was very dependable and shot where I pointed. Couldnt ask too much more than that I suppose.

Don't feel too bad, I was once recognized by a fellow corvette forum-er whilest test-driving a Geo Metro...
In defense of the Metro, it is made almost entirely out of plastic and beer cans, but it does run and you can drive it straight, and it will get you from point A to point B...eventually.

its ok PBP I used to strongly dislike Glocks too, then I shot one.....

I still wont put them on the same shelf in my safe as the Colts and
Smith & Wessons but, really you need to try a Glock. you'll like it!

and we will even let you keep that coveted "gun snob" card

:D
