dual wielding, why?

As long as their not hurting anyone except their pocket book, who gives a farking damn?

It probably won't hurt anyone they try it on, but it will increase the odds of them being shot first.

Buying all the guns you want has nothing to do with an exponentially harder shooting method with less accurate fire. Shooting one pistol at a time in a two handed grip of your choice will put shots COM on target and stop quicker.

Teaching or approving hollywood gangsta tactics as useful gets people killed, and people with integrity don't stand idly by.

What can a trained shooter do more quickly and accurately, shoot a pistol with two hands, change guns, and empty the second, or shoot two guns alternately until slide lock?

Please post targets.

Somewhere there's a video of Jerry Mikulec with a pistol in each hand and hits several targets at different angles. Just playing the Devil's advocate.

Reload? That's why you carry 2 guns! No reloading needed.

hahaha it's funny you say that. Because I just ran across this one.

i had a joe in the army that could do 2 gun mojo.
he could hit 2 separate targets firing at the same time, it just had to be within his vision(around 1100-1300). this was with 2 xd9's.

Lots of cool factor, not a lot of useful factor. Overall, might be a double edged idea to draw 2 pistols on a BG. It will end the encounter, but might get a lawyer to drop his doughnut....you did what? :D

Dual wielding/2 gun mojo

Is a fine thing for dramatic movies, larger than life stories, and the relative handful of people who can actually do it. For the rest of us, it is just entertainment to watch, and an extrememly dangerous idea to try in a life or death situation.

The idea of having more than one gun available has a great deal of merit, as a backup, or spare. Using both at the same time is ....beyond me. I leave that to Hollywood fictional heroes, and gifted individuals.

A Brace of pistols was the only practical combat reload in muzzleloading days, and old west gunfighters (and some ordinary cowboys) carried two guns, seldom using the gun in the off hand for shooting, more commonly holding it to switch to the shooting hand faster.

Go ahead and try it (on a safe range), and see just how practical it really is for you. Then look at your results and decide for yourself if it is really better than using both hands on one gun.

Its the same general theory about locking your car or home...it only keeps the honest people out. Someone intent on doing damage isnt going to be stopped by a locked door.

Id change that word to lazy. The honest people wouldn't be stealing anyway.

As for shooting akimbo, I wouldnt even try it until I could shoot perfectly with one hand on the gun. Then I get to teach my left hand how to do it by itself, too? Seems like too much work for me for something with no real practicality.

those south american cops look horribly unprofessional, dual wielding, not matching uniforms,m4 guy has no body armor, the guy in camo has a colorful backpack....

I love the guy in the picture with the two desert eagles. He must be of the thought that the 50 AE is so powerful a man can be knocked down by two bullets zooming past.

can you say....SUPERMACHO?

it also looks like he's got his left index on the trigger...I guess the safety that's between his ears is only half on :D

it looks like his backpack is orange, contrasting the ninja getup. his water bottle also looks ready to fall off. mr. camo looks out of place and has no body armor, neither does mr. m4, and the dude on the left has a camo tshirt that looks like it was bought for a dollar. completely different weapons so cant share ammo. i believe its the mall ninja squad

i wonder if the guy on the left has enough pistol magazines on his belt, too bad that pole is in the way.
