Double Action, no decocker?

9X45,

After writing that huge and juvenille diatribe because I suggested you're in error, one would think you'd pony up with the information you promised nearly a week ago. I've kept this thread near the top for your posting convenience, but it looks like no one here will benefit from your knowledge. I certainly haven't benefitted from your ill manners and temper.

Why would I, or anyone else, call you a liar?

Why do you want to kill this thread? I don't see why. It has two different point of views. One that I disagree with. If you don’t like to read this thread then don’t read it or much less post a reply.

Handy, and all other shooters on this board, I apologize for the diatribe and incorrect position on the CZ 75 pistol. I have been on company travel for 2 weeks and just made contact with IDPA HQ today. I also managed to get to a gun store and handled the CZ75 and read the manual.
As far as the operation of the weapon, it does indeed operate as a SA/DA with no decocker. The manual shows a right handed shooter pulling the trigger and using his left thumb to lower the hammer on a loaded chamber.
The IDPA position is that the CZ75 is listed in SSP, and every attempt should be made to allow the shooter to operate the weapon as specified by the manual. I was reminded that an accidental discharge from the load and make ready would result in a DQ.
Personally, I have never been RO'd a shooter using a CZ 75 in the SSP division, or in USPSA or Steel Challenge either, although I have seen them used in ESP, and the decocker models in SSP. I will discuss this particular pistol with my RO's at the next match and make them aware of the features of this pistol.
Again, I apologize and have requested that the moderator remove my diatribe post.
