Does price influence your CC gun choice?

Cost is always a factor.

Effectiveness and reliability outweigh cost, but cost is a factor. When dealing with the legal system in this country, you can never count on the outcome. There is a good chance your gun will be lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed. Why lose a $$$ gun when a $ gun will do the job just as well, unless of course you are trying to impress someone with how much you spent?

Nope not really. The fact is I shoot better with a Glock than any striker fired gun I've tried (and I've tried a lot). I own 3 Glock 30s and it's what I carry (unless I need a pocket gun).

I don't know. My everyday carry gun is about the least expensive gun I own. It's a Charter Arms Undercover 38. It does the job as well as anything in it's class I'm familiar with (note: I did NOT say it's just as good as...I said it does the job just as well). Sure, I could buy a Smith & Wesson "J" frame, but frankly I don't like the small "snubbie" type revolver enough to go out and buy one. The CA will do.

My money gets spent on guns I don't carry.

Yes, somewhat. I know what my limits are. I will not spend more than $1000.00 on any CC gun. I select my CC guns on their history of reliability, potential accuracy and the feel of the gun in my hand. IMO, after about $1000.00 it's mostly all the bells and whistles you're paying for. Does that $3000.00 Wilson Combat 1911 meet my requirements? Sure. But so does my $500.00 Glock. Would love to own the Wilson, but unfortunately I'm forced to live within my means. Good thing I have my wife around to keep me in line!
