In days gone by I have carried a Smith 13, Ruger Service 6, Colt OP, Colt Lawman, Smith 29, Smith 624--- all with 4" tubes in IWB holsters. @ 6'7" 275# it was easy in my twenties and early thirties. Now, make it light and comfy.

4 inch N frames are comfy and comforting in the right holster.

AS we speak, have the first part of my ankle rig strapped to my left leg. Feels pretty good.

Next step is to cut and sew on the holster for the stubby/spurless SP101 and see how the whole unit fits and works.

Not quite a full sized handgun, but likely as big as I'd want on the ankle/leg.

In reality, the SP will be above the ankle and just below the calf of the leg.

This is not one of the elastic units, and likely a lot different then at least any I have seen, so time will tell.

Get the holster part in place, then hot water soak and strap it back on to let it form to the leg and the hardware.

I used to carry a 4" model 10 in a Desantis thumb break scabbard. Very comfortable and concealable.
