Different caliber 1911 for this guy. I picked up a Rock Island Armory FS A2 in 9mm or 22TCM. 5" barrel, double stack magazine holds 17+1. Once it's broken in fully I'll carry with 22TCM but until then, 9mm it is :D 22TCM is a necked down cartridge so it takes special considerations and a higher round count when breaking the gun in. Going good so far, my last two magazines of 22TCM went through without issues. :D It is one wicked little cartridge!

Eventually I'll have a gov't model 45ACP in the rotation. Full size FTW!

I have a 1911 .45 but more for a historic range gun. The main things I would be looking for in a concealed carry gun would be, reliability, light weight, mag cap. For me the 1911 is to heavy mag cap to low and too unreliable. There are better options out there.

I also agree with you Manta.

My 1911 is lightweight though. It's proven to be standardly reliable. Capacity is not there and I don't like the safeties it has under stress. Which is why I mainly stick to SIG. While I don't own a Glock at the moment, I like those a lot too.

This is the gun I've owned for the longest and shot the most.

The P229 is the runner up. :) that P229 is a special kind of SIG though.

What else is there?
Bob!! How've you been buddy?!?! Man its been a while since I've seen you post here. Then again it's been a while since I've posted here regularly myself. I found your card laying around a few days ago in my drawer. Hope all is well.

And I've seen a video of you shooting a 1911. That's the kind of training needed to feel confident in carrying one. :)

By the way, are you still open for business?

I usually carry a full size Colt ORM 1991A1 but occasionally carry a Commander or an Officers size. When I'm working around my property it's a Springfield GI Mil-Spec

This is my concealed carry rig-

This is what I'm wearing today for working outside-

0_0 I like your style.

What's the 1911 in the first pic? And which sights are those?
Thanks. That is a custom ORM Colt 1991A1 .38 Super. The rear sight is a 10-8 Low Mount, the 'smith worked it to match the contour of the slide. Obviously you can't see the front but it is a 10-8 brass bead.

All my carries have hammers. As many have pointed out, we should carry what we shoot best under stress.
Agreed! Which is why I stick to mainly SIG and Glock. I also do Hk and M&P's at times as well.

That's beautiful. [emoji7]

Also, I'm no stranger to 10-8 Performance products. Love those sights!

Constantine, I'm doing great, how about yourself?
Yes the shop is still open but I'm very selective on what work I'll accept.
Good to see you on here again, I miss seeing Morgan on here.
Take care, stay safe.

I speak to Morgan from time to time. He's doing great. He actually has another on the way!

I've seen better days but I'm breathing so I'm grateful. You be safe too. And I'm glad the shop is still open.
