Nope always go with either 147 gr for 9mm or 230gr for 45acp. Both are winchester pdx1's they shoot well and from what the guys that work at the range I use say, they have tested these hollow points and they get great penetration and expansion in multiple scenarios.
I don't change ammo with the seasons. Just use the most potent ammo at all times. Once I have mastered my gun with a certain ammo, I won't change unless that ammo is discontinued by the manufacturer. It's just too expensive to change ammo and have to pop off two or three hundred rounds to master the POI. If you're shooting a semiauto, more ammo will be needed to check out magazines.

I stick with the same ammo too when I find the one I like. I also greatly prefer the most powerful ammo. It makes me learn about them too because then I am making things complicated trying to figure out speed, grain amounts, expansion, having hollow points, and so-on. I never thought about it+maybe it will come up someday, but I use the same ammo all weathers. I am sure there are some situations and certain people that definately benefit from switching it up though depending on their situation(army snipers as one example).
smith and wesson model 36 snubby is my daily carry, and I always keep a speed loader on me, with hydra shock loads ...If I am going to atlanta ( which is on rare occasions) I take my Colt defender 45 acp, with an extra mag, and both guns always have hollow points in 'em..And since georgia has a choice between "open carry " and concealed carry...I don't care who sees it on me..
