Do you change what defensive rounds you carry with the weather?

So its getting colder and the bad guys are going to be wearing thicker clothing and more of it. Do you change the defensive rounds you carry to accommodate for thicker clothing?

I realize this question is more for those who carry .32 and .380's than for people who carry .357 and 10mm. Just curious.
There's no need to because the premium ammo manufacturers have already addressed this issue ;)

Not me. I use different rounds in different circumstances, but none of those have anything to do with the weather.

Yes. I add a .44 magnum to my carry when I wear a heavy coat. So I guess going from .38+P to .44 magnum is an ammunition change.

Yes, but because I carry a different gun in the winter (I just can't conceal my S&W 629 in jeans and a T-Shirt).

Summer: Speer 135grn Gold Dot .38 Special or Remington Express 158grn SJHP .357 Magnum depending on which gun I'm carrying

Winter: Speer 240grn Gold Dot .44 Magnum or Double Tap 180grn XTP 10mm again depending on which gun I'm carrying.

Gold Dot, Supreme, Silvertip, Tactical Low-recoil, Critical Defense... Jeez, I change my carry ammo on a whim, let alone the weather. Of course, it's all premium stuff, so I'm not too concerned.

No difference, always the same Win Ranger 124+P or 127 +P+ in the Hi Power or Speer 135 gr Short Barrel in the .357.

Woods gun is my .357 6" with Federal Cast Core 180 gr, although I may have to check out some Buffalo Bore Nuclear rounds also. :D

Same ammo year round: .38 special +P Speer Gold Dot 135 gr. JHP, 9mm +P Speer Gold Dot 124 gr. JHP, and .45 ACP Federal 230 gr. Federal Hydra-Shok JHP.

Change firearms, not ammo.
Warm weather light cloths-LCP with Hornady CD ammo
Cooler weather with easier concealment-Springfield XD40 Subcompact with Winchester PDX-1 180 gr.

no not yet. but after i get a new 380 or 9mm pocket pistol i will.(for xmas i hope)

ill carry my pocket 380 or 9 in the summer. and my M&P 357sig compact in the winter.

i'm also hoping for a 40 cal barrel for the compact.:D

Like several others here...

... I don't change ammo, but do often carry a heavier pistol.

Hot weather, shorts and t-shirt mean a snubby and/or PM9.

Cooler weather, good belt and outer shirt enables 1911, CZ, or K-frame.

Cold weather, heavier jacket could conceivably allow the N-frames.

Just because bad guys may be wearing less layers in the summertime, I don't go to a weaker load. They will be hit with full power regardless of the time of year.
