I just did.

I just logged off of Buds Gun Shop,,,
I placed an order for another 4.5" Beretta NEOS.

Hey, call me obsessive compulsive,,,
But I do love owning cased sets of guns.

With this last purchase I now have a NEOS Set.

The set consists of three NEOS pistols,,,
Two with 4.5" barrels and one with a 6" barrel,,,
All three of the pistols have a holographic sight mounted,,,
To round out the set I also have the 18" Carbine kit with a red dot sight.

I'll leave the receiver from one of the 4.5" pistols mounted to the Carbine,,,
That gives me a 4.5" pistol, a 6" pistol, and the carbine ready to shoot.

The second 4.5" barrel will reside in the case,,,
For when I take a friend shooting and we want two identical pistols.

This might seem like a silly endeavor to some folk,,,
But assembling and casing these sets gives me great pleasure.

And when I'm too old to shoot my guns anymore,,,
Some fortunate individual is going to be amazed at their gift. :D

So,,,
What kind of handgun,,,
Did you buy with your tax refund?

You bet I did :-)

And another one ... bad picture as the flash really kills the beautiful deep blue finish but Python nevertheless - and pristine one too, not a scratch or wear marks on this one.

Yes, that Dan Wesson .44 Magnum is a shooter, the Python will spend most of its time in safe :-)
Now I need another tax season ;)

Dang vladin,,,

Your tax refund must have been a lot better than mine.

That Python is a beautiful revolver,,,
It's a shame they are often too collectible to shoot.

It's like my brother-in-law and his 1960 Corvette,,,
He's so afraid something will happen to it,,,
It hasn't left his garage in over 20 years.

Tell me about the interchangeable barrels on your DW:
How long does it take to change one out,,,
Do you have to sight it in each time?

Aarond

I wish I could. As it stands, it looks as though most, if not all, of my tax refund is going for dental work and car repairs:(

That sucks Webleymkv & Nocturnus31,,,

I probably should have bought a new lawn mower rather than a pistol,,,
But I'm going to try and make the venerable Husqvarna last one more season.

Now I feel a bit guilty. :o

But if you're ever in Stillwater, Oklahoma,,,
I'll treat you to a day at the range with the Beretta's. :D

Hello Brickeyee,,,
I do not loan money to the government so they can give it back to me without interest.
I just hate the surprise of the amount I would have to give them,,,
I tried that for many years and I never got it close,,,
It was always a larger amount than I expected.

I do not loan money to the government so they can give it back to me without interest.
I second that strategy of avoiding making an interest free loan to the U.S. Government.

But anyway, it is a nice rationalization to buy nice guns.

We owe the government money, too, just about the price of a new Walther, give or take the cost of a magazine or two. And that was after discovering I can take a larger standard deduction because I was born before 1947.

It just requires planning, though it can be hard to do if you have income swings.
