David and Goliath

I know this is an old thread but I had to post a picture of my NAA mini in 22 Short next to my BFR 45/70. Both are stainless 5 shot single action revolvers!

I bet I've got the most extreme spread:

David - Butler .22 short derringer
Goliath - Remington XP100R (.260 with 16" bbl and 2.5-8 Leupold scope)

Dave-Ruger single-six 22LR
Goliath -SRH 454
Goliaths brother-7mm-08 16'' barrel :D depends on how you look at it.

Perhaps I should call them Godzilla and Godzuki, given the outcome of the biblical D&G contest:

Redhawk .44 and MKIII .22

Although in my case, this Godzuki is not an irritating little **************!
;)

Size: Colt Jr. (.25, 1" barrel) vs. Taurus Raging Thirty (.30 carbine, 10" barrel).

Power: Colt Jr. (.25 ACP) vs. S&W Model 29 (.44 Mag)

Nothing extreme on my end (like a .500 of which I covet just because) so it would be:

1) GSG 1911-22 or Taurus PT22
2) Regent 1911-A1 (.45acp)

-Cheers

LCP and s&w 500

Now if that does not illustrate a "David and Goliath" example, I do not know what does:eek:.

I have a micro desert eagle 380 and a 500 magnum.

David had a projectile weapon Goliath didn't. I'd say that puts the odds in Davids favor.

BTW David actually killed Goliath by lopping his head of with Goliath's own sword. The sling stone just stunned the big guy.

I no longer own any small guns. So Ruger MK II and a 1911a1.

Here's a couple examples

Nice idea for a thread. I went through my collection, and was able to find these good examples.

First, a 69 cal 1822 French Calvary percussion pistol with a Belgian liege 41 cal percussion derringer.

Next, in firearms development, we have a 1858 Remington 44 cal percussion revolver (a real one, no repros for me : P) with a Colt 1849 pocket model 31 cal percussion derringer.

Third is a 2nd gen Colt 45 Buntline with a Colt 22/22mag convertible New Frontier Buntline.

AMT hardballer Longslide (featured in Terminator) with a Bauer 25 auto (Baby Browning copy).

Fourth is a nickel S&W 29-2 44 mag with a nickel S&W 34-1 22/32 kitgun.

And finally, the biggest goliath, with the weakest David: S&W 460 XVR (Whitetails Unlimited - New York - 1 of 100) with a S&W 2nd model Ladysmith nickel 22 long (not LR). The X frame (biggest) and the M frame (smallest).
