The frame is somewhat plum coloured, but still pretty.

It’s a bit pricey, no suitcase, second grip, belt buckle and even the barrel wrench is missing.

And another customer reserved it. Maybe he’ll pass, we’ll see, fingers crossed.

Does anyone know the model number and year of production?

That's a model 15-2vh. Heck of a gun-I've owned several. Before you buy,be sure to check the cylinder timing. Cock the hammer slowly and see if the bolt locks in the cylinder slot at full cock. If not then be wary.Find out what a new hand being fitted will cost. I don't think it is a cheap process. If it checks out ok and you like outstanding revolvers then don't let it get by you.

The Dan Wessons made in Monson are especially well regarded.

The pdf over on the Dan Wesson forum suggests it was made about 1985 or so.

Even without the wrench and case, it's a decent deal. Those barrels are bookoo bucks.
It's almost as pretty as mine are:

Wow!

Impressive that it comes with all those barrels. If the price checks out, it could be a "keeper."

Life is good.

had one

I bought one back in '79. A 6", adjustable sight model, I never added any barrels or other grips. The revolver was accurate. Off bags, a milk jug was in grave danger at 100 yds, using my reloads and 158 gr JHP.

My first issue was that the action/trigger lockwork bound up after about a years worth of shooting, say 1000 rds. It went back to the factory and was returned, worked fine and as accurate as ever. Next problem was my fault, but left a bad taste in my mouth. I drove some distance to handgun hunt groundhogs, only to arrive and find the barrel loose in the frame, and no wrench or feeler gauge to reset and tighten same. I'd left it on my bench. Wasted trip.

Not long after, I traded for a M27.

I just bought a full set, a nice weapon, quality build. There are only little numbers sold in Switzerland.
