The CZ 75b stainless steel must be nice. I know they have or had both matte and polished versions. Do you like it more than the blue or coated version?

Mine is matte, which I prefer. It's a really nice shooter to. And yes, I think it looks better than the coated version.

Ya it does, A lot of the gun is contained in the slide.

Gunbuyer.com has Centennials for 1399.99
That sounds like a lot of but appears to actually be a bargain price.

Steel framed, heavy brigadier style slide, SAO, Frame safety.

But see this is where Beretta pisses me off.. THEY KNOW streel frame safety 92's are desirable.. but they only break it out for limit run guns.

Centennial, Combat, Stock, Steel-I, Billennium (I think the stock/combat has Aluminum frames though)

I can't really afford any of those, some of them go for 1k's
And If I did buy a Centennial I'd probably not wanna shoot it or carry it :/

I guess that's why I tend to shoot and carry my Taurus (frame safety) and the Beretta just gets fondled, stays home and is rarely shot.

I wish Beretta would just put into production a frame safety 92
Regarding the slide safety, I could take it or leave it. I own a couple S&W's and some of the surplus 9x18 pistols, and they all have those safeties, so I'm somewhat accustomed to them. I also have a couple of pistols that are just decockers (Sig etc).

But yeah, a steel frame is very desirable to me. I enjoy my pistols both to shoot, and to keep... and there are a few I one day want to strip down and do a really nice blue job on. I'm sure Cerakote is great, but I would just prefer my pistols not be painted, if I had complete control of the situation.

With CZ's you can often find old beaters that are coated, and I've seen those really, REALLY clean up nicely. You're much more limited with aluminum frames that way.
