Cravin a Taurus View for Christmas

I wouldn't mind one of these. If nothing else its a nifty little display gun. I sure wish my Taurus 94 had one of those clear sideplates. Then I could have seen all the gunk it had built up in there.
Does anyone reckon on carrying one of these, or would you have it as just a range toy?

All firearms will get dirty if you use them Thewandering. Even a S&W if you don't clean it after extensive shooting. I am surprised you don't know this. I can assume you are not a newbe to firearms?

I have owned about twelve Taurii and have only had trouble with one of them. Some of them have had as good a trigger pull out of the box as any S&W, some have been merely adequate. I would have no reservations about buying another one. (On the other hand, I haven't ever bought a Charter because they look and feel "cheap" to me.)

The "View" looks cool, but that panel is so gimmicky that I will give it a pass. The size and shape is very interesting, though.

Picked up my view today...not disappointed. Very very small and light. Inside parts visible are all high polished stainless. The hammer is gold plated. Cylinder and barrel titanium. All the rest stainless. the frame is aluminum....a work of art.
No regrets. Well worth the $460.

I really want a Taurus View for my collection.

Have you been a naughty girl?

Because I've heard that Santa is passing these out instead of lumps of coal this year. ;)

Ok, so this one has been calling my name for a while. i just love small guns. I picked it up today. It is very small and very light. The fit and finish look pretty good to me. The grip felt to me very similar to the stock grips on the NAA Mini Magnums. I had no trouble holding it and holding onto it while firing. It actually felt kind of comfortable in my hand, no doubt the result of shooting NAA's for many years now. The trigger pull is long and hard but smooth. It reminded me of the trigger pull on a smith and wesson 351. in other words the type of trigger pull you would expect on a 22 double action. i shot 50 rounds of wadcutter out to 15 yards. as expected the further out the larger the spread. at 3 yards it was tight. all in all im happy with it so far. I will be using wadcutters in it. with the light weight and small size it seems to me to call for it. I have no interest in beating up my hands.

And the Taurus View has been discontinued already.

still seeing it on Taurus' page.

Though, it's just an image, not a link to anywhere.

Got a link to any story on this? (Googling anything Taurus gets a lot of unrelated hits about the Ford car.)
