Cravin a Taurus View for Christmas

I really want a Taurus View for my collection. Such a unique little gun. Buds has them for $485. I am sure it will be a one time production pistol. Anybody here get one yet?

I've not even seen one in person yet. They seem to be allocated from the distributors. I have read that the recoil is nothing short of brutal, though.
 
my wife would love it, but too expensive for what it is. although it may be worth a bit in the way later future. but for sub 400$ I would get it

I think we will all b surprised at how much these little one off novelty pieces will go for 50 years from now. could be a great investment.

Or... It could be worth squat. I just can't see a novelty gun, made from a questionable manufacturer, being an "investment."

That said, if you want it, I hope one finds its way to you.
 
Buying the Taurus View and expecting it to appreciate into a collectible (not sure if that's your intent or not, just saying) is like someone hanging on to that Convertible Cavalier Z24 they had in High School. Yeah, it's kinda neat to see, but it's still a Cavalier...
 
Man, you can keep it. I'm not a Taurus basher by any means. One of my carry guns is a 608, but that little 9oz with almost no grip looks painful to shoot.
 
Makes me want to pick up an old model 10 and a sheet of lexan....

Just saying. And only for display, i see no reason to do this for a gun one uses and I do not think Lexan will hold up well to carry and to oil.
 
I'll be looking for one as soon as somebody comes up with a titanium side plate to replace that ridiculous plastic see through thing!:eek::eek::eek:
 
If you would have truly been a good boy, Santa would be giving you a S&W, not a chunk of coal (Taurus). :D
