Cost of preban AR recveivers is?

If it ever strikes you that you'd like to provide a real, substantive reply, do bleat it out, John.

I originally posted a substantive, factual reply, you just happened to want to visit fantasy land and disagree. You are free to do that, but please give the personal insults a rest. I can't imagine how you could consider your posts more "substantive" than mine on this topic.

CITADELGRAD87, thanks for your reply to my post and our back and forth email. As I mentioned in my email to you, I agree completely that the law is clear on the requirements regarding receivers not assembled into rifles pre- 94. As to the the trial court case reporting question, I believe that if someone was prosecuted for an assault weapons violation, it would most likely be in federal district court. Many federal trial court opinions are reported in the reporter, "F. Supp 2nd." As to state trial court cases, here in Tennessee, as in your jurisdictions, state trial level cases are not reported. There are a few states that do, for example, the Delaware Chancery Court reporter. Thanks for your reply and email. Best regards, and no offense intended to my TFL friends.

That would be 'insult'...singular. If I've offended you, you have my sincere apology.

No, really...:)

"I can't imagine how you could consider your posts more "substantive" than mine on this topic."

Well, that's easy...between misconstruals of my remarks, you've managed a paragraph out of the BATboys manual and an opinion that "the sky is falling".

As Dubya would say, "We just have an honest difference of opinion." <shrug>

Um, yoo-hoo...
Guys?
All I want is the following information:

Cost of preban receiver with all the bits: ?? Not what you think it should cost, but what it will fetch on the open market.
I also want the cost of a preban receiver without all the bits: ??
Again, not what it *should* cost, but what it is likely to fetch on the open market.
So as to allow me to compare and contrast with postban ones.
Thanks.

$650-$900
Depending on maker.
To answer the legal question get a colt as all colt PREBANS left the factory as completed guns.
But Colt will be the highest.
Most companies if you call will tell you date of manufacture and if the rec left as a gun or a just a receiver.
If it left as a gun you have your proof that the gun was assembled as a complete gun prior to the ban.

Now, that was funny. The actual quote from that other thread was:

"My best guess (not to be misconstrued to be advice or legal information) is that if the lower was built before the ban, there is little anyone could say one way or the other."

But, you'd choose to believe that over an actual quote from the current ATF regulations??? Amazing!

Of course, you still seem to confuse my post simply telling what is legal under the statutes and the number of prosecutions, which I never mentioned.
