Congresswoman McKinney Punches Capitol Cop

Antipitas, the only thing unfortunate about your remark is that reality often intrudes on how people would like for things to be. The more inevitable reality is, the more it is denied or ignored (for example, the way many people refuse to discuss their own death).

He did not recognize THAT! I likely would grab the mace and clutch the crucifix everytime I saw her in the building. And again, yes, we are all racist, what we do with that fact is up to us.

Cynthia has proved herself a racist over and over.

“Racism is something we don’t like to talk about, but we have to acknowledge it,”

“And the world saw the effects of American-style racism in the drama as it was outplayed [sic] by the Katrina survivors.”

"My impression of modern-day black Republicans is they have to pass a litmus test in which all black blood is extracted,"

She has proved herself an idiot over and over

"What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? What do they have to hide?" McKinney thought she knew the answer. "What is undeniable," she explained, "is that corporations close to the administration have directly benefited from the increased defense spending arising from the aftermath of September 11th."

Here's what her imbecile father had to say about her opponent during her campaign:

Over and over again, Billy McKinney called Mitnick a "racist Jew." As Slate's Chris Suellentrop noticed, when the New York Times asked Billy McKinney to elaborate on his comments, he simply repeated that Mitnick "is a racist Jew, that's what he is, isn't he?"

You decide.

It seems impossible to me to discuss a racist without discussing racism.

"What is it about her and even Shirley Jackson that disgusts certain folks here? I can understand if it's a gun thing but it sounds like it's something else maybe. Is it that she's a politician...a black...a woman...a dem or all of the above? I think someone wants to say it...but just can't quite find the cagingas!"

I've been around here long enough to tell you that it's not lack of cagingas (I've never heard of cagingas and Google has never heard of cagingas, but I think I get your drift), if we had something to say we would say come right out and say it - unlike you. You're big on throwing accusations around and never quite getting to the point of saying what you mean.

Now, to address your question "What is it about..." I suggest you do a forum search on Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry and I think you'll find your answers.

To be perfectly clear, you're wrong about the folks here.

John

Rim, lighten up on the racism thing. As an American Indian (Native American for the PC Crowd), I've noticed the only person offended when I'm called an Indian is someone else.

The problem I have with her is that she believes that she is above everyone else. And then, when she does not comply with some rule or other and someone calls her on it, she goes straight to "it's because I'm black/female." It's called a race card for a reason. I don't care what color or sex she is. In the situation described, I'd have probably reacted the same way as the capitol officer. If I did not recognize someone skipping past security, and they did not have the proper pass displayed, I'd stop them. Not because it was a black person or a woman, but because I'm charged with making sure the people in that building are safe. And I'd be beyond insulted that this person who broke the rules would have the gall to say that it was just because I was a racist.

THAT is what I have a problem with.

From CNN.com

WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. Capitol Police on Monday asked a federal prosecutor to approve an arrest warrant for Rep. Cynthia McKinney after she tangled with a uniformed officer last week.

"We are working with Capitol Hill police to fully understand and appreciate the incident," principal assistant U.S. Attorney Channing Phillips told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.

Citing the ongoing investigation, Phillips declined to say whether the referral included a recommended charge against the six-term Democrat or when a warrant for her arrest might be issued.

In a statement, Capitol Police said it "has referred its investigative findings to the U.S. attorney." The department must acquire approval from U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Wainstein before it can ask a judge to issue an arrest warrant on assault or other charges.

McKinney spokesman Coz Carson acknowledged the investigation.

"We're aware that the wheels are turning in Washington," Carson said. "We have no control over what they decide to do. We will make the appropriate statement and take the appropriate action once we know where they're going."

I have stayed out of this because I deeply do not appreciate McKinneys unfair representation of Georgia. I am not "BIG" into politics, but Cynthia McKinney is one touchy topic for me. What really bothers me is nothing will come from this, and she will be reelected next election. It also really bothers me that in a couple of years she will be able to retire, and make a mint off a Congress morons retirement program. Heck, Pay now and tomorrow! Someone, STOP THE INSANITY!
