conceal carry a 4 inch??

Don't cut corners on the belt/holster combo.

I have found quality gear makes all the difference in the world when trying to carry something larger than a J frame.

Carrying a mid frame 4" revolver isn't difficult, but chances are you're not going to be able to pull it off very well in a $25 off the rack nylon holster with a department store belt.

Honestly, I think this is why so many people think it's difficult to carry something that size.

repeat ...Quality belt/holster x100

Leather can get nasty looking and stiff from a lot of sweat. You might do well to add the nylon next spring. Leather is always my first choice, but blocky-shaped semi-autos run very well in polymer. My IWBs are only for semis but I prefer the hybrid, leather backing, Kydex form, both Galco and Crossbreed.

Galco Wheel Gunner and S&W 625 .45 Colt

I conceal carry a 4" barreled S&W 625 in .45 Colt in Galco Wheel Gunner. It hides well for me under a wind breaker or vest. Sitting down in a chair or vehicle is not a problem at all. The holster keeps the gun elevated enough to not cause issues. At least for me personally it is not a bother at all. And, I am just a bit taller than 5'5".

Well, old fart, it isn't easy. It can be done. I do it on occasion. I used a shoulder holster during cold weather, and a belt holster under a really floppy shirt at other times.

It's not simple, I advise that you not do it, and I strongly suggest that if you can't keep it absolutely concealed, that you not do it. You don't want to be flashing your gun every few minutes. It is not unheard of for goons to beat down carriers and steal their weapons.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST A BACKUP CAN OF MACE.

I am 5'7" 150 and can conceal a 3-4" K frame in either a Theis Hybrid or a JM Kydex AIWB. The JM just came in two weeks ago and I really like it. I find with either I can conceal in just a t shirt. I carry my Glock 17/19 in the same holsters. I find they just work for me.

The only thing even remotely difficult about concealing a larger (and a 4" mid frame revolver really isn't very large) gun can be the grip.

This really isn't a big deal to overcome on most revolvers, given a high quality belt/holster combo, and a non tight fitting cover garment.

That's what forward cant is for, aside from being a good draw angle, and because a high carry leaves little room left to allow barrel length to clear the holster.
