CDNN deals in a lot of used firearms. Note that when a condition is given, it's going to be a used weapon. Some states only require these latest standards on weapons manufactured AFTER a GIVEN DATE. Others require certain accessories, or testing to be completed, for any weapon manufactured after a certain date. These laws are on the books, but some jurisdictions inside the state also add to them. With Bloomberg and his ilk now rapidly being legislated out of many states, it's also logical to expect him to send his buffoons into his home state, where he's NOT going to get into trouble.
Maryland is another state that a lot of distributors won't ship into. It charges to have it's fired-shell-case requirement validated. It also has a list of approved firearms that is enforced. Maryland also has dates that either require, or exempt, firearms from parts of the current code. Then, the City of Baltimore has it's own laws, as does Montgomery County, and the City of Takoma Park, and so on.
With the volatile atmosphere in these areas, and the low volume of sales, many businesses just refuse to be involved there. While you guys can scream and whine about being "backstabbed", how many of you would be willing to post a bond with the company, to be used in case they made a simple error, or were tarred with the Bloomberg Brush, and had to defend themselves?
We "demand" that they serve us, but will sigh, and take our business elsewhere if they are victimized by the same politicians that we allow to represent us. Take a look at the last turn-out for a grubernatorial election. NYC represents what percentage of NYS total voters? What percentage of NYC voters turned out? What percentage of NYS, outside of the City, turned out? I believe that you'll find the results enlightening.
I left Maryland. I got tired of fighting the good fight, only to watch the majority of the gun-owners never turn out at the polls. Lots of excuses, lots of "what difference will it make". In the end, a self-fulfilling prophecy. Georgia, for now, is a lot better place to live. I guess that I, too, refuse to support the rights of gun-owners in Maryland. By your twisted logic, my wife and I are "backstabbing" Marylanders.
If you feel that CDNN has done wrong, patronize another distributor. But, don't blame them for the representative government of your locale. They can't vote there, even if they wanted to.
