CDNN No Longer Ships to NY State

I would tell people from New York State to boycott all companies that will not ship guns to NY. Do not buy anything from them. There are companies that will not ship black powder guns rifles to upstate NY that sell many other products, companies like Cabeles, i will not buy anything from them. I would rather spend my money with companies that will sell me the whole ball game, not just the mustard, then i have to buy the hotdog from some other company. Black powder guns are not even classified as guns in NYS.

I had to go thru a lot of paperwork and investigation to get my CCW. Some of this I could do without, some I think is a good idea. I got it. Every official was helpful, some went out of there way to help. No impression at all of a desire I not get it, and every indication they hoped I did.

At least from records a few years ago, which state had the most gun owners per 1000? New York. So, yes a pain sometimes the restrictions. But a gun hating state and people? Don't think so.

I got a CCW with $10 and smile. The state does not know which guns I own, that I purchased from private sellers or on the spot from a store with a background check. The shops have AKs, ARs and every military rifle known to man, anything semi-auto, and anything full-auto if you file for a class III. There are high-cap LEO-marked mags and drums on the rack for you to pick up and buy with cash. There are sound suppressors and short-barrel defensive shotguns right there in the store and they'll help you with the AOW paperwork.

Crime is low. Very low.

You can't understand freedom if you've never had it. You don't have freedom.

Wasn't referring to anyone in particular, just the general sentiment that happens on gunboards everytime cali comes up.

Since the Demonrats control the DPRK by such a wide margin anybody else is wasting their vote. At least in WA State there's a chance my vote might mean something. Why stay in a Communist country for the faint hope you can change the system? I bought a rifle with 4 20 rd mags at the last gun show and didn't have to beg the govt or go through a dealer to get it. Can the unfortunate residents of the DPRK say the same thing? The next "gun safety" measures there will be individually serialized ammunition and micro-engraving on the firing pin extractor, and ejector on semi-autos. Anyone care to guess how many models of autoloaders will be available after that? There's nothing there that would make it worth putting up with such infringements when you can live in a free state and not have to. I really feel sorry for those of you who live there and for various reasons can't escape. Oh, and yes, I know about the Electoral College, but thast doesn't make much difference when Nancy Pelosi is Speaker of the House. The DPRK controls a major share of the Electoral College and it's winner take all so the Dems have an overwhelming advantage.

Because if the fight is still going on over here then it won't come to your town.

Nope. But the problem with that mentality is gun owners keep losing states that are vitally important where national elections are concerned. California and New York make up nearly 90 electoral votes. Thats 1/3 of the way to the 270 needed for the presidency.

So when Pelosi and the next democratic president stop you from buying those 20 round mags, make you register your AR's and AK's, and start microstamping bullets, your "safe" sanctuary of washington will be no more.

CDNN deals in a lot of used firearms. Note that when a condition is given, it's going to be a used weapon. Some states only require these latest standards on weapons manufactured AFTER a GIVEN DATE. Others require certain accessories, or testing to be completed, for any weapon manufactured after a certain date. These laws are on the books, but some jurisdictions inside the state also add to them. With Bloomberg and his ilk now rapidly being legislated out of many states, it's also logical to expect him to send his buffoons into his home state, where he's NOT going to get into trouble.

Maryland is another state that a lot of distributors won't ship into. It charges to have it's fired-shell-case requirement validated. It also has a list of approved firearms that is enforced. Maryland also has dates that either require, or exempt, firearms from parts of the current code. Then, the City of Baltimore has it's own laws, as does Montgomery County, and the City of Takoma Park, and so on.

With the volatile atmosphere in these areas, and the low volume of sales, many businesses just refuse to be involved there. While you guys can scream and whine about being "backstabbed", how many of you would be willing to post a bond with the company, to be used in case they made a simple error, or were tarred with the Bloomberg Brush, and had to defend themselves?

We "demand" that they serve us, but will sigh, and take our business elsewhere if they are victimized by the same politicians that we allow to represent us. Take a look at the last turn-out for a grubernatorial election. NYC represents what percentage of NYS total voters? What percentage of NYC voters turned out? What percentage of NYS, outside of the City, turned out? I believe that you'll find the results enlightening.

I left Maryland. I got tired of fighting the good fight, only to watch the majority of the gun-owners never turn out at the polls. Lots of excuses, lots of "what difference will it make". In the end, a self-fulfilling prophecy. Georgia, for now, is a lot better place to live. I guess that I, too, refuse to support the rights of gun-owners in Maryland. By your twisted logic, my wife and I are "backstabbing" Marylanders.

If you feel that CDNN has done wrong, patronize another distributor. But, don't blame them for the representative government of your locale. They can't vote there, even if they wanted to.

Keep in mind that 25 years ago, NY was one of the few states where ya could get a CCW...

I got mine in 1981...bet ya Texans couldnt get one then :)

First of all, it is not just NYC that is the problem. It is the whole downstate area, the five boroughs of NYC, Long Island, and the surrounding downstate counties that have gone totally in the Bloomberg camp. Not to mention some of the Upstate Cities (Yes NY has other cities!) such as Albany, Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and Binghamton. These wannabe cities are just as much in Bloomies camp as La or Chicago. The Cities control the State.

Downstate NY is a cancer on he rest of the state to be sure, but the cancer has metastisized to many upstate areas. I live just under the border from Binghamton and I hear the same lefty BS from the politicians there as I heard when I lived on LI.

NY is a lost cause, shooters are spitting into a hurricane there. Sorry for all the good folks in NY but you are loosing, rapidly.

FYI Carolyn McCarthy's Congressional District has more Pistol Permits (They are NOT CCW permits down there) than any other district in NY State. Yet they vote her in every two years, despite the fact that she has done nothing for her district or Long Island or NY State.

You NY'ers wanna fight, God bless you and keep you out of trouble.

Why don't all you upstaters strike back at Bloomberg, go whiz into the reservoirs:D

So was the DPRK. WA wa one of if not the first shall issue state. Besides, the gun laws aren't all that sucks about the DPRK. I do vote- not because I think it does any good but because if ya don't vote ya have any right to gripe. Should the time ever come (God forbid) that the Govt finally does attempt the usurpation of plenary power we can in good conscience resist, knowing that we tried doing things the "right" way.
