CCW license response time

My wife, son and I all took our CCW class the last week of May. Sent in paperwork and received by Arkansas State Police first week of June (I received my signed little green form back from USPS. Son and wife did not but tracking says ASP received). I have promised myself that I would shop for my CCW until I get the license (getting tougher to wait). How long did it take for you to receive your license once you sent in your paperwork. I would be interested in length of time and state of residence.
Thanks, Will

About 4-6 weeks went by between sending in all my paperwork to the county and receiving the notification of my appointment with the "gun board". A lot of my buddies had the similar time frame for their CPL's. We all are in and around the Lansing MI area.

in Oregon it's suppose to take 45 days or less but the county I live in is underfunded and it took 90

I put in for a Washington non-resident permit last monday I figure it won't take too long

In Indiana, I sent mine in the first week of jan and the end of march is when I recieved the permit. So it was a full 3 months.

I think each county in Alabama is slightly different. In our county (Coosa County, Alabama), it took a mattter of a few minutes. The drive to the Sheriff's Office was the longest part of the process.

Jefferson County Missouri, about a week. The state says it has to be issued within 45 days, but JefCo seems to run them right through.

PA took roughly 3 weeks for my license, though they say it can take up to 6 weeks. Its all dependant on your county as well as state laws.
