I carry a BUG everyday. This is my EDC list:

1. Glock 22
2. Spare 15 round magazine for Glock 22
3. Taurus Model 85 .38 special Snubby
4. Gerber Pocket knife
5. Cell phone
6. Wallet
7. Keys

As winter is coming soon, I have been thinking about adding my .38 special Derringer to just throw in my coat pocket. I don't consider myself paranoid, just prepared. I have been robbed at gunpoint 3 times in my life and I don't want to die if the 4th robbery occurs. I hope I never have to use any of my guns other than to shoot paper at the range.

No back-up gun needed.....For myself - One handgun is enough.
I'm not law enforcement, and I don't imagin myself in a drawn-out shootout war with someone.

I am a firm believer in Avoid and Retreat. The gun is used only if last option in self defence.

You can't really say you don't need one, since needing one is specific to a situation. You can say that you're betting you won't.

Posts: 160 I sometimes wonder if there are any Anti-Gun Folk on these topics. Because if there is a way, they will filter their ill-logical, annoying phylosophy around.

What part of what post do you see as anti-gun. ?

I wondered about that too. I don't see anything "anti-gun" here.

I try to avoid trouble. If I can't, I trust my CCW is sufficient. If it isn't, it probably doesn't matter what other gear I am carrying, I'm screwed.

I picked:
I'll use my knife/oc spray/taser if the need arises!

I always carry a knife on me. Except for one instance when I wasn't allowed to carry a gun (Italy), knives are used for cutting line (rope) and for hay bale twine, that's about it.

Ohhh and the occasional Deer, them also.:)

If I ever have to use a knife in a fight, I'ts a last ditch effort.

It isn't the matter of trust if my firearm will work, I could have a 2,000 custom built gun with all the best parts... What if I drop it, what if I lose it in water, what if the bad guy shoots it out of my hand, what if someone takes it from me and trys to use it on me, what if I fall and lose it, what if.... etc.... See my point.

It's the same reason why I have a back up house key, what if I lose mine? what if I drop it somewhere? ;)

Spray in pocket, stun gun in holdster, .38 snub in pocket, and a NAA Mini 22lr mounted to my belt buckle, in that order.

Change P226 to P229 or P220 (or P228), and make it a 642 Bug, and eliminate the knife and our carry is the same. The 642 is in a left vest, or left pants pocket.

Only difference is that I'm never without my SureFire, usually in a BladeTech combo pouch.

TIP: Recently started using Perry belt clip suspenders to take the load off. Keeps the pants up, too.:D World of difference. What took me so long?

To be exact I appropriated and adjusted it.

I went to suspenders a long time ago it makes a world of difference.

My last time out with my BUG HR 218 shoot.

How is it that people you don't even know think you're paranoid for trying to be prepared? I may or may not ever need a spare gun (or even my main gun), but the time to begin wishing you had the extra is NOT during a gunfight!
"i'd rather need it and not have it than have it and not need it!" Truer words have never been spoken.

Uh, I think you have that Bass Ackwards.

My EDC is a PM9 and a reload ... can't really justify carrying two handguns; if I did feel that one was warranted, I'd probably use my .22mag NAA Pug ...
