Cartridge Quiz

Hopefully there's something left for me to work on tomorrow.
My brain isn't functioning today, and I just can't get it kick-started.

As for #2...

I feel like it should be some kind of .318/.330 H&H/Rigby/Express Flanged type of thing.

...Not an actual guess. Just hoping it may help someone else out while I'm trying to reboot.

I think I had them backwards earlier...

So revised guess...

12: 50-110 Winchester (case length 2.40")
13: 50-90 Sharps (case length 2.50")

Jimro

The 44-100 Ballard has a 2.81" case length, but it looks like #9 is shorter than #7 ever so slightly which has a 2.583" case length... A 44-90 Remington would be 2 and 7/16th of an inch, so just under 2.438"

So best guess, #9 is a 44-90 Remington

I had considered .32 Ideal as well, but the case seems too long.
I am probably wrong...

LOL No...Your probably right.

I ran across the 32 Ideal name researching that 32 extra long.

LOL I have no idea what size the case really is!!! :D

Sorry for being late, guys.

Jimro got #12 and 13 by default, 12 and 13 are techically the same cartridge but different because of their loading. Jimro actually mentioned the cartridge earlier but guessing at the wrong one.

A couple of hints- #2 is 32 caliber, #9 is 45 caliber.

So we have
#1- 32-40
#2
#3- 30-40 Krag
#4- 38-55
#5- 40-60 WCF
#6- 40-65 WCF
#7- 405 Winchester with cupro-nickel bullet (Big Medicine)
#8- 500-416 NE
#9
#10- 45-110
#11- 500 3" Express
#12- 50 Express
#13- 50-110
#14- 577 Snyder

Tough one.

I'm waving the white flag (for myself, not others).

That long .32 has me confuzzled.
I don't know what it is.
None of my references have anything like it.
And even the internet has gotten me nothing.

I'm sure to be proven wrong, with it being something like ".32-75 Long Range"; but it just 'feels' like it belongs in a British double rifle, to me.

Yes, 45-90, somewhat confusing because of the 610 gr bullet sitting on top of it. Especially sitting next to the 45-110 with the 350 gr HP.
So we have
#1- 32-40
#2
#3- 30-40 Krag
#4- 38-55
#5- 40-60 WCF
#6- 40-65 WCF
#7- 405 Winchester with cupro-nickel bullet (Big Medicine)
#8- 500-416 NE
#9- 45-90
#10- 45-110
#11- 500 3" Express
#12- 50 Express
#13- 50-110
#14- 577 Snyder

And #2? You guys will hate me for this one . . . 8X72R. Popular in Sauer & Sohn combination guns. :D

OK, who's next?

OK, double quiz!
Name the cartridge, and what do they have in common?
