Career in ATF anyone?

only lea i would consider to work in is either nypd or lapd. you can't get better experience anywhere else in the world. then, possibly, i would consider other agencies, but only after i've put in about 5-10 years.

Border Patrol sounds wonderful and all. I don't even know that they make routine habit of violating the constitution yet. Riding horses all over the west with a gun just is too cool. Alas, my service connected disability would prohibit further employment with any government agency that has a physical requirement, therefore, I shall smile, and accept that my calling should be that of a highschool government/history teacher, and pursue those ends to the betterment of society!

Let me suggest something for your consideration: A lot of the border they're patroling is private property; Do you suppose they get a search warrent before they enter somebody's ranch?

Regrettably, there is NO branch of federal law enforcement which doesn't routinely violate the Constitution in one way or another, either by enforcing valid laws by unconstitutional means, or by enforcing laws which are unconstitutional in their own right. Such is the state of the nation.
