Cannot decide on carry gun. New guy here

I pocket carry my PF9 in a #3 Uncle Mike's pocket holster with no problem at all. I am about 5'10" and 180 lbs. I wear Wrangler relaxed fit jeans most of the time. It takes a week or so to get used to the pocket carry, but now I don't even notice it, and most importantly, no one else does either. Try standing in front of a mirror face on and profile and you will not see the gun. If you look straight down it is apparent that there is "something" in your pocket, but not an obvious gun. There are a few occaisions where I might carry a NAA 22 mag if wearing dress clothes, but Wranglers or Dockers, PF9 is no problem.
Think about it, who is looking at your pocket anyway?
 
Anyone who thinks .380 in JHP is adequate because "it expands", I suggest you go to Winchester's sight and compare their .380 ammo to 9mm.

It shows .380 penetrating 7.0" whereas 9mm penetrating 14.9"

The FBI study on wounding ballistics shows that a minimum of 12" penetration is required to hit vital organs.

Yes, the Winchester site shows that the .380 expands just fine. But it will be a shallow, much less effective, wound.

Very good site you gave us sir. Definitely the .380 has least penetration of the calibers mentioned in this thread. Seems the 9mm (regular ammo, not +P) still penetrates up to 14" which is a lot better than the .380 caliber.

Specs- you have the same exact build as me. I was drawn away from the PF9 because I read it doesnt like WWB ammo (cheap stuff from walmart. Id like to use this due to range use). Have you encountered the same thing? If so, what ammo do you use instead

Don't know if you would even consider it but lcr as opposed to lcp what a difference an 0 makes.
 
One more thing and I'll shut up. I don't want to be accused of continueing an endless debate. Here is a link to an interesting thread about the .380, from LE officers, some of which have been at shootings involving this infamous wimp cartridge. It does not conclude with universal praise or condemnation of the round, but at least there is some real 2 legged animal results.

+1 on what #25 said. I front pocket carry my PM9 with no problem at all. The Sig P238 also pocket carried comfortably.
