Budsgunshop.com is DANGEROUS!!!

I just now got another email from them that says the HK45 has now shipped and gives a tracking number. Can't wait!

When I ordered my CZ 452 from them, the guy on the phone said they had 'four in stock.' Still, it took another four day before the gun shipped, but it got to my FFL in two days. I just get impatient when I order just about anything on line.

It's the sleazebags at GE credit, not Bud's

Guys, I saw the lead post as a result of a search for buds, and I have to state the following:

I have nothing to do with Buds, other than I am receiving a Stainless .40 Cal Witness pistol for really reasonable, and ON TIME considering the mad frenzy of panic gun buying that has been going on since Nov 3 (I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was a billion dollars in election-related gun buying).

Let me say that the scenario described in the lead post is really what I already know to be the sleazy nature of GE credit. I first got stuck in their web as an unknowing fly with a root canal at my dentist. GE offered either a 1 year or a six month plan to pay for the dental work at the same interest rate: namely ZERO%! Naturally, I chose the 1 year. . .why the hell not if it's the same as six months? Well. . .first, GE sent me a bill with like 18-24% interest at the six month point. I called them and asked what was going on. They told me that my dentist "hit the six month button" on the GE machine that they generously provide to any vendor. My dentist assured me that they hit the i year button (personally, I believe my dentist of ten years). This went on, and on, and on. . .until I told GE that I was going to call the US attorney General's office because I contacted many other vendors only to hear the same thing was systematically being done nationwide by GE. I told them that I have a law degree, and that the fact that they are systematically defrauding people AND using the mail, they were facing charges of civil and criminal RICO as well as mail fraud (remember movie, "The Firm?"). At that point, and ONLY at that point, GE decided to restart my "clock" and give me a year to pay as I first contracted to do.

All I know about Bud's is that I ordered my Witness last week, and I am receiving it (UPS tracking info) tomorrow at a great price and faster than I would have expected considering these poor guys caught in the middle of the current buying frenzy. GE screwed both the guy in the post as well as Bud's. In all this frenzied buying, I hope that Bud's catches up and tells those sleazy creeps at GE to get F***ing lost. Vendors initially trust a name as big as GE (the guys that make the engines for our jet fighters as well as the space shuttle). They get screwed just as we do. GE credit is the scum of the earth (yes, you can state that my views are not necessarily those of the forum)!!

I will be sending Bud's a long letter of thanks for their great service during this buying madhouse as I enjoy shooting my brand new Witness .40. Bud's. . .JOB WELL DONE!!!!

Just saw this resurrected post, and must chime in that I had a very positive experience with Buds as well. I sent them a certified check and my CZ rifle and Remington 870 were shipped the day they received the check. Arrived brand new in the box, and my FFL charged me 1 $35 fee for both, no tax or shipping. Great deal, saved close to $200.

I am looking to buy a new rifle and have not been able to get through to them. Frustrating.

Hey there,
I originally posted this thread over a year and a half ago, (geez-time sure flew) and just noticed that it is still going. I figured I'd post an update. Since originally posting and making that first purchase/discovery of Buds, I have purchased somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-10 firearms through them, using the GE money account. Each time I pay it off, I find myself back on that darn website with another weapon in my cart. Since that initial purchase of the Cx4 on the one year plan (8%) I have since opted for the six month (3%) plan on each subsequent purchase, (naturally paying it off ASAP). I have yet to encounter any problems and am near paying it off yet again. I have pretty much filled my wish list and am going to close the GE account down once it's zero'ed. (At least I say that now. )Thus far Buds has proved to be my favorite place to purchase and I suspect that I will make a couple more purchases through them, (without GE). The only thing that irks me is that you would think that at some point they would cut you a break or throw in something extra with your order, (hell- a freaking hat would at least show they appreciate your frequent flyer miles), but no dice.

yeah, they beat the local price for a weatherby super varmint master (Mk V action) by over 600 bucks!

other than sometimes selling when it is out of stock, but they always get back in stock fast.

I am completely out of control! Not more than a few hours after my last post I browsed Buds and ended up ordering another rifle, (Rem 700SPS-tactical, six month deal). When I got home I had to confess to my wife and surrendered the Buds card to her with the admission that I have an addiction to Buds that I can't seem to control.

Budsgunshop.com

I received my first Internet-purchased gun today, four days after placing my order at budsgunshop.com. The gun was correct, as advertised, the order process and email followup service was regular and seamless. The speed was greased lightning. The rest is up to Smith & Wesson. My wife and I WILL buy from budsgunshop.com again.

They've been doing business this way for many, many years. They are extremely busy, but they are good folks.

I did the same exact thing as the originator of this thread. Futzing around one night, plugged some numbers in and voila!, new guns on the way. Luckily, I paid them all off right away and then chopped up the card, which I kind of regret (but not really) now.

They are a fun bunch of guys to deal with, too.

Well, I went to the site. Started drooling profusely.

Told myself about the two accounts I already have with GE Money, both paid in full. Credit should not be a problem.

I read their instructions, and was about to apply for credit.

Then, I read the last sentence on the Financing page...

"In order to comply with GE Money's rules we are no longer able to offer the Buds Financing (GE Money) payment option on Assault / Tactical rifles."

Closed the browser and didn't look back.

That's been the rule since they started. They sell lots and lots of black rifles. But GE won't allow them to use their credit for it.

I've fussed about it myself but I think I've decided it's a good thing. Because I would have spent many thousands of dollars on them by now. Buying HK handguns from them is bad enough.

Agreed, some terrific prices.
Downside, one used gun I was thinking of selling is offered by them, new, for just what I was going to ask.
