Budsgunshop.com is DANGEROUS!!!

My experience with Bud's was a good one, though at the time I paid in full for my .44 Raging Bull and picked it up in their shop in Paris (not that far of a drive for me). Very simple, and had the gun within a week. I'm getting my first experience with a payment plan at a local shop, but they're only giving me 3 months, lol. I just know that if I go for a 12 month at Bud's, I'm gonna be in trouble :D

They normally email you when your order has shipped.
It will also be listed in your "account" info at their web site.
They are pretty good about keeping you informed about your order, BUT...be aware they sometimes take a few days or so to get your order out.
I would expect it to take even longer this time of year.:(

To add to Pud's reply.

My last order, received about two weeks ago, I was emailed that the status of my order was "received", next day another email showing my order was "in process" and would be shipped in 3 to 5 days. Next email (5 business days later) showed my status as "shipped" and included a tracking number. Two days after that it was at my FFL.

Bud's gets an A++.
 
Just a quick update. Buds refunded my $$ for the un-needed top rail including my shipping cost for sending it back to them. All in all I am extremely pleased with Buds and will definately be a return customer. By the end of this month I should have my rifle more than half payed off from plasma money. It would actually be about 2/3 paid off but I pulled my plasma funds last month to buy a handgun locally. So once I get this thing paid for (striclty from $ from donating plasma) I guess my Cx4 could be considered a plasma rifle:rolleyes:
 
It gets worse......

....applied and got approved for the credit card even though I tried hard to resist and so ordered a couple rifles from good ole' Bud's. No problem, sent to my FFL, picked 'em up, happy as a clam. Technically a rifle and a shotgun. A friend needed some weekend help at his business. No problem! Not working the o/t rotation at the regular job, glad to help a friend. Gave me lots of money to help him out. Great! Paid off Bud's. Wife was really happy.

So happy she asked me to order something for her and go ahead and get something for me, too. Dangerous, dangerous, dangerous.

If I pay this one off by the end of February, maybe I'll order that Ruger GP100 6" stainless......
 
This is bad, bad, bad news.

I am trying to convince myself that my wife, who is not a shooter (but also not anti-gun) needs a concealed carry piece for Christmas.

Nevermind that she doesn't have her permit.....

Oh good grief.......
 
well, I took the plunge and ordered a weatherby SUB-MOA vanguard and a taurus 605 snubby, but to be honest with you guys they still have not shipped the guns and I ordered on the 14th and it is now the evening of the 19th. I spoke with the folks on Monday and they assured me that the guns would go out that day, but still the order is not showing shipped. I just sent them a nasty gram email and am waiting their response.

Will let you know how things work out.

They do have awsome prices ( I am paying cash), but I was tempted to ask them if they stock AI rifles, then I might consider the payment plan. Last one I saved up a long time for and by the time I had enough money the prices had gone up so I had to save a few more months for the difference. Now if I can make payments and shoot the gun even better. BUT they had better ship in the next day or two or I am canceling my order and buying locally.

I have ordered several times from Buds...I can tell you that you WILL get your order, and you will be very happy with it.
I can also tell you, just about every time I have ordered guns from them...it will be about a week BEFORE THEY SHIP OUT YOUR ORDER!
I'm sure they are always backlogged, and they probably should tell you right up front-"hey, give us a few days, we're working on your order".
Hang in there, I have had a couple of guns show up at my ffl right about the time I was ready to get mad at them..........

Well, to quote Kevin Spacey in "Seven", I've gone and done it again. This time it's a CZ 452 Lux .22LR. Buds had one in stock, I had the money, so that was that. Will it never end.........? :p

Glad I jumped when I did. All out of stock now.

It is worth noting this is my second post to this thread.

Well, I am truly sorry, but since we lurk on different sections of the forum nobody will notice. Plus mine is nice and colorful :D Lol! just kidding you man.

Anyway, shipping and out the door time is very important to me on this order. I need to have the guns arrive at the latest the 1st week of march, because after that I am TDY until beginning of June. In my email I simply said that if they can't get the items shipped in the next 2 days I would cancel my order (I at first described my situation).

I really hope they can ship these guns out becasue I really want these guns and locally the price is way more.

I will let you guys know how it goes.

Ok, picked up the guns from Buds on the 26th (ordered on the 14th).

I had opted to pay for 3 day UPS on the long gun and of course the pistol was next day.

Even after multiple calls and emails and offering to pay extra to get the guns here (paid extra for the 3 day shipping on the long gun) they were as motivated as snails.

Guns got here and I am going to the range this weekend.

Might buy another long gun from them, but the local shop I frequent said they will match any of the handguns that bud's offers in the future (limited to those that my local guys can get in stock).

Buds does have good prices (the sub-moa weatherby is about 200 cheaper than I can find anywhere else), but the extremely slow processing before shipping is what will probably cause me to go else where in the future.

I just ordered an FN PBR XP bolt action rifle from them. I just got home with it, actually. It took about 6 days to get to my door. That is my second rifle from them, first was a Sig 556.

They say to give them a week to ship, but it was about 3 days for me. Maybe they were just getting the shipment of your rifles in stock? If there isn't anything they can do to speed things up, then there isn't anything they can do.

If you are saving $200 at Buds, why do you care if it takes a week or so to get your delivery? That doesn't make much sense, unless one has more money than sense (not saying you do, but I'm just sayin').
 
Well so far two weeks and counting. It seems that they have a dispute going with one of their suppliers. The supplier appears to be sitting on the shipment and no way could I get through to Bud's today. So best case they get it straightened out sometime next week, then wait for their shipment of my "we have it in stock" rifle, then wait another week for delivery. To be honest I wouldn't mind so much if it were on plastic but vendor disputes make me nervous and Bud's has my cash.
