Brush Prairie, WA Lady Hit By "Stray" Bullet

Is a human life worth so little that the benefit of the doubt cannot be given? :( I would think that a THOROUGH investigation of the facts would reveal the truth of the matter. I thought the idea would be to resolve the problem to the satisfaction of ALL parties concerned. To not seek a remedy could result in a VERY bad outcome (for ALL parties concerned).

One last thought... I would hate to be driving around the perimeter of the range after firing my weapons there and have a stray round strike my vehicle injuring me or someone else in my vehicle (maybe a family member) and I was one of the users who was adament about defending the rights of the range owners and totally oblivious to their responsibility to public safety

It seems the truth is no one knows where the bullet came from, or if there was even a bullet there to begin with.

What about those bullets found on the property? What about the bullet hole and bullet in the house? What about the broken window? What about the comments of the county manager?

One thing for sure: That so called "firing range" meets no ones standard of firing range design and safety.

What I dont understand is how can someone post judgment on the range when they've never been there and no evidence was found that her injury was caused by a bullet?

All I know is that I live in the area.... Never been to that range, but on any day it's dry you can hear people shooting all around town

I remember a news story of an Iraqi woman holding up one of the "bullets that hit her house"

She was holding an UNFIRED 223 cartiridge.

I've seen no evidence proving where any bullets really came from

I've just seen lots of assumptions

Every complaint of bullets hitting people and property that i've checked out proved to be true.

I once had a guy call the cops on me because he could "hear bullets landing in his yard"

The Deputies just laughed when they saw all I was "shooting" was Black Cat firecrackers

Again, in this case, the truth is we don't know what happened, so why make assumptions either way?

With the previous mentioned false complaints from this Woman and her Son was found digging up bullits from the range Im skeptical that any bullits have ever landed in her yard . If I were to have to shoot at a range near Homes I would be so cautious there would be no chance a bullit would get up and leave the range .
I have a distant nieghbor that does'nt like shooting and had me SWAT'ed one time . She's good at sounding alarmed and the Cop's over reacted a bit until they saw no laws were being broken . Some People that have a agenda will go to great lengthes to get thier way .
