A bit OT, but I always like to bring hope to the hopeless...

...look what me 'n' Shin-Tao picked up at our local children's bookstore today (and no, Kodiak, you can't have it for the little bears -- but if they visit, we might let them read it).

All of this B.S. in the text books is based on a faulty interpretation by the liberals of the Miller decision. All Miller said was that a sawed off shotgun was not suitable as a militia weapon. It NEVER said what a militia was or was not composed of. Remember, Miller, nor his attorney even showed up for the Supreme Court case.

If we can get Emerson to the Supreme Court we can stop all of this revisionism. How we reach a whole generation of all ready indoctrinated students with the truth is another matter. It is vital that Al Gore not be allowed to nominate the next four Supreme Court justices.

Vote Bush!

Teach your own.

You're the parent. You are responsible for what your children learn. No one else bears this responsibility. You do, because you brought them into the world. When you did that you took upon yourself the obligation of showing them the world.

You've delegated this responsibility. That's your right, for the responsibility is yours. But you've delegated it to a system slanted against your most basic beliefs, and that system is falling to pieces.

Scream about the biased textbooks, but realize it will take a minimum of a full year, more likely two or three, before any change is made -- if it ever is. Meanwhile, your child will have moved on and the damage will have been done. If he hasn't soaked up the bias with his textbooks, it will be because you yourself took the time to teach him better than his textbooks taught.

Send them to school if you must, but teach your own.

You need to disregard a lot of what the schools teach, I have been expressing my beliefs to my children, ever since they were small

Today we have discussions on these topics and others that will affect their future.

They have learned to trust me, they know I
have their best interest in mind, when these topics are discussed.

Now they are spreading the word amongst their peers.

Have no fear folks,my son has been reared with the values and beliefs that I strongly posess. He takes any available opportunity to dispell the propaganda they are teaching in school. ie textbook questions etc,he often includes the answer they want with the correct one or his own opinion on the matter.I know it will be a matter of time before someone squacks about a kid having a mind of his own,so be it..I got his back....PJ

The politicos are right - the kids are our future.
The recent poll which stated most kids favor gun control shows shortcomings in common sense, an appreciation of liberty, and parental guidance.
Unfortunately, that poll also shows the success of our Socialist opponents.
