Bin Laden wants to negotiate !!!

I don't like the U.S. going around the world trying to remake everybody in it's image and such (which is PART of what brought on 911 and other such militant muslim attacks) but as for Osama Bin Laden, the only thing we should negotiate with him about if he wants a bullet on the mountain trails of the mid-east or a rope in the United States. As Matt Dillion used to say, "you're going back to Dodge pig or pork!"

What does the word "infidel" mean exactly?
Non-believer...

The Koran says infidels must be killed...

Their Allah commanded Mohammed and his followers to do this deed...

They are usurpers of nations, murderers, bombers, and voters who support Hamas...and Al Qaeda.

They are distructive rioters who blame the infidels for anti-Islam political cartoons and demand that the infidels who draw such cartoons... have their hands chopped off...

This punishment is not recommended for the Al jazeera anti-Semitic and anti-Christian political cartoons... for their efforts, they should have 70 virgins in the afterlife.

They are the silent Muslim Leaders and silent Muslim believers who do not speak out against the injustice of the intentional killing of infidels, women and children and other non-combatants. (Which is very much against the teachings of Islam.)

"The greatest success that Satan ever accomplished, is to fool the world into believing he doesn't exist."
One thing for sure, he doesn't need to "exist"... it appears his work is being done for him by the Islamic clerics who are taking advantage of the ignorance of 1.7 billion "believers"...

And they say WE are the "Great Satan".

Not really.

Yes really... every socialist government in history was founded on the idea that the people exist for the state and not the state for the people...

And, they have all failed, or are failing, because the people uncovered that foundation and rejected it...

Well as much degrading and complaining of our government that goes on in this forum, I think maybe we should treat Bin Laden to a nice Steak dinner and give him what he wants. Hell lets give him a nice cell phone to go along with it, but we better make sure we dont fringe on his privacy and tap his phone. After all, judging by all the postings it seems that our government is the problem with the world. Some of you need to wake up. If the effort was put toward supporting our great country the way most of you complain and find the flaws, then we would be a great nation.

You are incorrect as to the definition of socialism, but you hit the nail on the head regarding the practicality of it. Socialism is an impossible proposition.

kleptocracy, pronocracy whatever you want to call it (just not socialism; as there is no such animal.) BTW, socialism is also a form of economy, not just government. It advocates the greatest good for the greatest number of people...impossible if only a limited number of individual are in charge...hence kleptocracy or rule by theives.

If you think we are very different look at our economic engine. The stock market is from the outside an efficient engine (or that is the way it is presented.) From the inside it is a device to separate the retail investor from his money. Volitility has doubled or tripled in the last decade and market manipulation is a daily occurence to the tune of 6 billion dollars. This year retail investors lost relative to the risk free rate, but Wall St. bonuses hit an all time high. Goldman Sachs was fined almost 20 times for trading violations, and the money made on those "plays" was more than 10 times the amount of the fines. Stacked Deck?

I don't recall ever defining socialism...
I did take the socialists word for it... They are the ones who called their governing powers socialistic...

USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics)
Nazis (Nationalist's Socialist Party)
Red China (The People's Republic is clearly not a democratic republic)
Marxism
and more and more and...
socialism is also a form of economy, not just government.
Government is also a form of economy... and camoflaged socialism... :p
(Stock Market) ...inside it is a device to separate the retail investor from his money.
Agreed...
Stacked Deck?
Of course... but socialism is far and away the wrong solution.

The reason for democratic government is to keep the people within the social parameters which allow for the MAJORITY to prosper...

Some governments prosper only the esoteric few... and some enslave the ignorant many...

Socialism is a lie that makes us "feel" that we are somehow safe from both if we would just surrender ourselves to the state and allow them to care for us... It's just a "white wash", bulls**t, pipe-dream created by the impotent in order to "fix" what they cannot "fix"...

Liars and liberals have fooled themselves, but President Lincoln has said they "cannot fool all the people, all of the time"

I hope he was right... :o

"people exist for the state " - pointer

Government is also a form of economy... and camoflaged socialism...

All governments??? Are you endorsing anarchy?

but socialism is far and away the wrong solution.

Do you think I am arguing against that point? If you will reread you will find that I do not hold a high opinion of Socialism. It's an idealist's dream that is more similar to M.C. Escher's Polyhedras than anything that resembles government.

Liars and liberals have fooled themselves, but President Lincoln has said they "cannot fool all the people, all of the time"

Surly you wouldn't accredit the "Liars and liberals" part to President Lincoln. Do you know what the word liberal means? I don't know why "liberal" is such a hot button on this board. Are you satisfied with the way our government is currently. If the answer is "NO", then you may just be a liberal. Now that is funny.:p

All governments??? Are you endorsing anarchy?
That's like saying because I support the war in Iraq and Afganistan...
I don't want peace...

That's the way liberals debate...
Are you some sort of a communist?
All governments???
Yes, all governments either give you socialism openly or in some camoflaged form... And then they "ice" the cake with "we'll care for you" ... just TRUST us.

No, I don't think you condone socialism...

(Everybody should do their part to support everybody else and the very powerful central government "nanny" will redistribute the wealth so "there would be no poor among us" and the world would be all better.) It is indeed idealistic...

I won't give it an inch of acceptance because it hides tyranny and torture and slavery etc. under the guise that the "nanny state" really cares about your welfare... i.e. New Orleans/Katrina.

Why don't we see the people (and leader's) of New Orleans, in an @$$holes and elbows posture instead of being in the attitude of "I gots my rights", "Where's my rights?" let's blame the white President in Washington intead of the black govmint in New Orleans and not even mention the State government of Louisiana!

Why are we even hearing the BS that if Uncle Sam doesn't rob the treasury to pay for the recovery of New Orleans, it is "ethnic cleansing by inaction"?

I haven't heard a damned squeak from Mobile and Pensicola and the Texas coast etc... the local citizens in Cancun, Mexico are working and not demanding that somebody else come and help them.

Yes, all governments cannot be trusted to avoid liberal socialism because it is a very useful tool in "managing" the people.

Sorry, but this whole situation really pi$$e$ me off!
And I feel like I'm out here on the limb alone...

That's the way liberals debate...
Are you some sort of a communist?

Why do you insist on being pejorative? You make blanket statements and when asked about the particulars you attack the person not the message.

No, I don't think you condone socialism...

Then why would you ask if I were a supporter of the worst kind of socialism? Just throw mud, maybe I won't notice the incongruencies of the argument?

I agree with everything (yes, everything) you wrote about people who refuse to make their own way in life, and demand the government support them. The govenment is doing them (and the rest of us) a HUGE disservice.

As unhappy as you seem with the current situation I'm amazed that you think being liberal is a bad thing. While the word carries a connotation that is leftist; it really has nothing to the left.

ADJECTIVE:

1. Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.

If you care to further discuss the issues, I'm more than happy to share my views. If you want to call me a liberal commie then you are welcome to have the last word.

Look at these statements can you not see a parallel???

Hell, man, I was "ribbing" you...

Can you not see the parallel???

lib·er·al (lbr-l, lbrl) KEY

An application of more than necessary; often too much.

are you endorsing anarchy?
Hell flipping NO...!!!
