Best handgun for under $300 in 2014

For brand new revolvers I like the Zastava M83 $279 at Cabelas. I shot my freinds M83 last week and other than a heavy trigger it was a decent revolver.

And I agree, to a point, which is why I started this thread. I picked a price-point that is filled with firearms of "dubious quality." There are also, as have been mentioned before, some real great handguns. Instead of being afraid of a sub-$300 price tag, frightened off by statements like the above quoted, I want to gather people's opinion about the catagory, to help folks make an informed choice.
